Alright back then, Trash now.

I had this phone for 4 entire years! Even at the time this phone was out, it was not a superior phone compared to maybe the Blackberry in it's heyday. This phone is unresponsive when you press the screen. I don't consider it a touch screen, it's more of a pressure screen because unlike most touch screens this phone need you to press down so hard you bust a blood vessel! The phone also get's very slow, and the slowness combined with unresponsiveness has been the cause of an unlimited amount of strokes! Aside from that the phone was very durable- SIKE! The phone gets scraped all the time! And the internet was horrible, you may be thinking, "It's an old phone, the internet probably wouldn't be good back then", and to that I say, YOU"RE RIGHT! But what pissed me off the most was when i tried to watch a video on YouTube, the video would stay vertical and could not turn horizontal! Performance Slow and unresponsive! Voice Quality Oh yeah, call quality was the same as any other phone. I guess it just depends on the carrier right? Battery Life Yeah that to. This phone never dies... hmm. Design At the time, the option of a keyboard was the shizznit!

Terrible Touch screen

2

This phone has a lot more cons than pros. Here are some good aspects of it: The call quality is great like most phones out on the market and the full Qwerty keyboard is definitely a selling point since it makes texting easy and something tangible to hit instead of a touchscreen keyboard but it basically in there. The biggest dismay of this cell phone is that the touch screen is outright TERRIBLE. It is a resistive touchscreen( not capacitive) and it fails to calibrate most of the time. I usually find myself getting frustrated when I am trying to navigate around the menus. Skip this phone if you can because the poor touchscreen is a big deal breaker. I should also not that this uses a Symbian OS not an Android like most Samsung phones out right now so that into account when considering this phone. Performance Works well and can handle basic tasks. Battery Life Can last more than a day on some occasions Durability My mom's dropped it numerous times and still it is in good shape. Ease of Use IMPOSSIBLE to navigate the menus with that touchscreen. Design Classic Samsung oval shaped design.

Samsung Gravity T669 - Dumbest Smartphone Ever

2

Thank goodness I got the Samsung Gravity T669 for free from my wireless carrier (T-Mobile), because I would never pay a cent for this phone. First of all, it's a non-Android, non-iOS, non-Windows smartphone. In my opinion, there is no point to a smartphone if it is not Android or iOS or Windows mobile; there are absolutely no decent apps outside of those operating systems. Even worse, this phone has no wireless capabilities! If you want to surf the web, you have to do it on the 3G network and waste all your data time. My next phone will definitely need to be able to use my home and work wireless connections. Performance This phone is a poor to mediocre performer, at best. The touchscreen has a very slow response time; I find myself tapping icons multiple times and getting impatient. It also randomly vibrates while I am talking on it. Little short vibrations - bzzt, bzzt, bzzt - are very distracting while I am trying to have a conversation. Voice Quality Voice quality is fine. As a basic phone, the Samsung Gravity T669 is fine; my complaints are about the smartphone aspect. Battery Life I'll give the Samsung Gravity T669 credit for a long battery life. I can go many days without needing to charge it. Durability I've never dropped my phone from a high distance, or anything like that. For day-to-day use, the Samsung Gravity T669 has been fine. Ease of Use As I mentioned, the touchscreen on this phone has a very slow response time, which makes it a total pain to use. I also find the non-Android interface not at all intuitive to use. Design The design of the Samsung Gravity T669 is adequate. It's sleek enough, and I will admit that the slide-out keyboard makes texting a breeze.

Samsung GravityT: my 1st smart phone! gr8 4 texting, I'm hooked!

4

Samsung Gravity T - SGH T669 Cell Phone is my very first "smart phone". I never really used to use my cell phone often, mostly just for emergencies or directions. And texting, let's just say that happened once a year if that! So when my cell phone contract was up I hadn't a clue what to get, I leave that up to my hubby. He picked the Samsung Gravity T out for the both of us....little did I know how much I was going to love it. First, my Gravity T cell phone turned a NON texter (me) into a daily texter! Secondly, I now keep my phone on my everywhere I go - I may never check my voice mail but I have the stupid thing on me - that's a big step. The slide out touch keyboard is pretty nice, has little raised rubber letters/numbers and I don't find that I miss type often. The touch screen is awesome however sometimes it doesn't "take" my commands and I have to re-touch my command...not a big deal. The Samsung Gravity T takes decent pictures with its 2-megapixel camera (and takes video that is also text/email ready). There's a slot for one of those new teeny tiny chips/mini sd cards (not included) so you can insert it into an adapter and download photos to your computer or watch them on your TV. The only problem I have is sometimes it won't *Sync* up to my car, my old Razor had no problem, so I'm thinking there's something I'm not setting properly. The processor is 184 MHz with a memory of 50 MB (internal memory available to user for storage)....can't forget this: it has a phone book capacity of 2000 numbers! WOW! I love all of the features the Samsung Gravity T has, after a year I'm still learning stuff about my cell phone, I suppose I should read the manual. This phone has the 3g technology and I nearly never have my calls drop any more. Also, my husband works in a factory and unlike our old phones he can actually make and receive calls & texts from within the plant. Sometimes the scrolling goes way to fast so you have to get use to how to work it...but it comes quickly! I'm loving my Gravity T cell phone....and I'm sure it will be out of date soon, but I'll be using it till my contract expires in another 2 years! LOL Still great for what I need it for! Performance The Samsung Gravity T is smaller size, has a touch screen that isn't OVER sensitive but also not UNDER sensitive. This cell phone has customizable home screens and menu you can have the weather and date showing on your main menu screen...this also has a WebKit-based browser. Other features are similar, including a slide-out QWERTY text keyboard, 3G data, 2-megapixel camera, and memory card slot. Voice Quality Decent quality, sometimes when I talk to my husband (he has the same phone) I hear it cut out a little bit when he's calling from his factory job. But I does work in there and that's a plus! Battery Life Talk time on the battery of my Gravity T is about 6 hours max and the standby is about 400 hours, I can go several days without charging my Gravity T (with just average talk time). A wall charger was included but you can also choose to buy a charger to use in your car. Durability I've dropped this several times and it's still working after two years; with very few scratches. Ease of Use Very easy to use. Design It's nice and small and I love the sliding keypad.

The Easy And Fun Phone to Use!

5

I have had this phone for about 4 months and love it. The touch screen works great and slides from the left to the right, the slide is smooth and requires no shove. You can text on the touch screen via T9 or simply slide it open and text on the full qwerty keyboard! There are apps you can purchase, GPS, which i use and works perfectly! The process between screens is very fast, no more waiting for your texts to load! The graphics are great and has good quality in photo capturing. It can record videos and can hold a memory card. Mobile web capable and bluetooth. My favorite feature is that you can use ANY ringtone you want for your incoming calls AND text messages, even full songs, for example 4:00 songs can be your text ringtone. I would highly reccomend this phone. It is stylish with its fancy look and color. Easy and fun to use, no matter what age you are. Go on, get out there and enjoy your fancy new phone!

As Close to a Smartphone as One Can Get

4

If you are looking for a good phone without needing a data plan, then this phone will work for you. The Samsung Gravity T is the first touchscreen Gravity phone. First thing I should mention about this phone is the slide-out keyboard. It is really comfortable and easy on your hands with its rubbery buttons. Screen is sharp and easy-to-read. The reason I gave this phone four stars instead of five is because of the response time of the touchscreen, which can be a bit laggy at times. Phone has a built-in camera, which is a plus. Although unlike many phones this one does not require one obtain a data plan to obtain the phone, adding a data plan will give you access to such sites as Youtube and Facebook, all of which may be accessed using T-mobile's 3G network. T-mobile does have excellent customer service (unlike *cough* AT&T *cough*), with actual American phone service. Overall, although this phone is no smartphone, it does offer great features in a compact size.

Samsung Gravity T touchscreen phone

4

My brother owned this phone for about 3 months before he gave this phone to me. Even though the phone feels very sturdy, it's apparently not that much. There are already some pretty deep scratches on it. Hard to imagine how this phone can get so badly scratched from one fall (according to my brother). I had the LG Sentio before switching to this phone and I find that it's not that much better. The reason for my switch of phones was that my previous phone did not have a keyboard. It only had a touch screen and that made it pretty difficult to text. This phone has a keyboard but it feels a little cramped. Luckily my fingers are small enough to text on it. The phone is has so many different shortcuts and settings that it took me a while to figure it out and I'm usually pretty good at figuring out gadgets. I like how I can just draw a symbol on the touch screen and the screen will unlock. But sometimes it cannot figure out what I drew for some odd reason. The screen scrolls too fast at times and the phone does not come with a headset. I tried using the micro usb headset from my previous phone but it would not work. That's a disappointment.

T669 is a pretty good phone

4

The Samsung T669 Phone is a pretty good phone. It features both a touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard, which can be used interchangably. Personally, I prefer the keyboard, as it is easier to type messages on it compared to typing on the touch screen. The touchscreen does make scrolling harder, as I may scroll too much, or accidentally start an app. In comparison, the scrolling buttons on the side only work some of the time, and makes scrolling take longer. There is a wide rande of apps, including games and a video camera. The phone also has a decent battery life compared to the Iphone, and the Samsung T669 phone also has a good cheap price compared to other phones. The camera and video recorder have good detail. In conclusion, this phone is good as it has both the features of a touch screen and a keyboard, but the navigation on the touchscreen is not as good as that of an Ipod Touch. I would recommend this to someone who wants a phone that can text and has a cheap price.

i love it

*I have a samsung behold and I love this samsung phone. I think I may upgrade my own personal samsung to a samsung sgh t669. I like the fact that it has a touch screen and a slider. I'm interested in how the live web browser works. The 3 megapix camera is a great way to capture on the go pictures. I think that it would be nice to come in some more colors like maybe silver or chocolate. It has a sleek contour form to the phone that almost resembles a G4 but I like the sleekness of this phone a little better. Although its not a android it acts like a smart phone with its variety of applications. The touch wiz is very responsive and there's no delay in maneuvering through the screens. The battery life is exceptional with its 16 days of standby or 6 hours of talk. I'm very much intrigued with the social buzz but sliding through contacts and other screens with multiple choices seem to move almost too quickly that could possibly bypass the contact you initial are going for. *
