I'm so in love with my Samsung Galaxy tablet

4

I love this tablet. My biggest qualm is the weight but when you consider the power, technology, graphics and capabilities of this tablet it makes it ok. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone. I am buying one for my sister for school. We found that we can download all of her school books on the tablet so she doesn't have to carry around heavy books all day which will be a huge savings on her back strain. There is nothing this tablet can't do and you will love it. Battery Life When I first bought this tablet the battery seemed like it would last for several days now I have to charge it more often but that is because I never let my battery run down, this weakens the battery. I am still impressed at the battery life though even with my slip-up. I use it almost all day at work and usually at night to check my email and facebook, etc. I charge every night and I do have a car charger just in case I need to charge it again or give it a little boost. Processing Speed I love how fast this tablet is. I often download large files and stream movies. I haven't had any buffering issues with the tablet while streaming and files that used to take about 2-3 minutes to download now take less than a minute...most apps download instantly and you can run multiple applications at once without loss of speed. Weight It is a heavy tablet. I wish it was lighter but since I have given up my laptop for this it is at least lighter than that. I'm sure the next generation will be lighter but when you have a new technology it is going to be big that's how it goes. I don't mind the extra weight as I know the quality of everything else. App Availability You can get any app you want with this bad boy. My only issue is with adobe as it does not support the android system with the newest update I made on my tablet but this is not the fault of the tablet, adobe has some catching up to do. The word program on here works amazing! Typing, editing, and creating documents is a breeze and there are so many free apps that are available that I haven't found with apple based technology tablets. Design Samsung is a favorite electronics vendor of mine because they think of everything. The tablet is very easy to use and intuitive. It comes with android technology and is wifi ready of course. There is a slot for an external SD card which is a huge bonus for me as I take a ton of pictures and hate switching cards - it's a hassle. Now I can keep my internal while adding an external. Good thinking samsung! Great sound quality, the speakers are small but insanely powerful. Graphics are crisp and brilliant and you can completely adjust the graphics to your liking. Durability Samsung has developed screens that are me proof I swear! I am the biggest clutz in the world. I swear I have dropped my tablet 80 times over the last year and not a crack or scratch. It's amazing! The only thing I have noticed is that I have noticed a slight delay when I touch the screen. I have had my tablet for over a year so a little bit of slowing doesn't bother me at all.

decent size and great screen but fairly slow

When I first got this tablet I was so excited and loved it. It is a great size to take with you on trips, watch movies on planes and do random work, email, etc. I tend to download tons of apps, many just to try them out so the small amount of memory built-in quickly gets taken away, thank goodness for the slot to add more. I would still prefer more built in memory. I have just the Wi-Fi version, no days plan, which is fine unless you're really on the road and need to do something more than what your phone offers. The device has great screen clarity and is usually very responsive, aside from an occasional glitch. Stay away from downloading too many apps, it will really slow the thing down. Battery Life The battery life is fine for standby, when you're not really using it... after having this about a year now, I've noticed a significant drop in the amount of power that it seems to hold in a charge. It does charge from dead to full pretty quickly though. Again, lots of apps drain the power fast. Processing Speed It started out very fast but quickly gets bogged down. I'm guessing that the newer versions are much faster, each one at least twice the processing speed. What can you do though if you just need to have something, even if the next version will be out in a few months. Again, this version isn't able to handle a very heavy app load. Weight The weight is fine, not too heavy or light. I would perhaps shave an ounce or two off but it feels appropriate given the size of the product. Overall size and weight fit great in my hands or back pocket and it is fairly sturdy, it's been dropped a couple of times with only a few nicks to show. App Availability Tons of apps via the Google play store... Just don't think you can download an unlimited amount without slowing everything way down. Design Very smooth and clear design, kind of the standard. Smooth, rounded corners. Matte grey body and large screen that remains bright and easy to use. Nothing detracts our really stands out in the design but it feels right and works well. Durability Considering that it's a piece of glass suck to a piece of plastic that is maybe a quarter of an inch thick, this thing can withstand a lot of abuse. I've dropped it twice outside on a sidewalk. Once directly on the screen and once on a corner, from standing height... both times, after freaking out, I picked it up, turned it on and it worked. No chipped or cracked glass, no pile of broken tablet, just a couple bucks in the body. I am amazed still that it's held together well. I've also sat on it multiple times without anything happening. Very strong tablet.

Woo hoo! Love this little guy!

I started out just wanting something to read my books with while traveling. So, naturally I first chose a Kindle. It didn't take me long to figure out that the geek-wanna-be in me couldn't handle the limitations of an entertainment tablet. I really wanted and needed it all. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 filled the bill. I can access the Internet, watch movies, read a book, work on a document...pretty much everything I can do with a computer. I love this little machine! Battery Life If just reading, perusing the Internet and working on documents, the battery life is around 8 hours. Watching movies can drain the battery within 4 hours. It all depends on what you are doing with the Tab. Processing Speed Fast, fast, fast. It's like turning a page. Done. You are moving very quickly from one task to another. Weight It's very lightweight. I carried it on trips and it is smaller than any of my books. App Availability I can get just about anything I want with the Samsung. The only issue is running anything with Flash. I worked around it by enabling an old copy of Adobe Flash and allowing my Tab to accept it. So, Flash works fine for now. Of course, that won't last forever. It really isn't much of an issue though. Design This is a pretty sweet machine. It's attractive and sleek. The screen is adaptable for any type of light as well. It's also very intuitive. I picked it up and knew how to do just about anything quickly. Durability I've taken it everywhere and had no issues. I do suggest getting a cover for it ASAP to protect it.

My husband and I just bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 for our 10-year-old daughter for her golden birthday. She was thrilled. This is quite a step up from her previous tablet and she has had a blast with it so far. It is a perfect size; big enough to have a nice sized view of whatever you are playing or working on, yet small enough to take along with you in a case or purse. It has great speed and memory capacity and is easy for her to manage and learn with. This tablet is great quality and does not let you down. She has been able to figure out new things on her own and has learned a lot already. We, as a family are big fans of Samsung and have many of their items in our home. Battery Life Satisfactory, but good to always have the charger with you. Weight Very lightweight. App Availability Great apps, and easy to download any new ones you would like. Design Nice design, as all of the Samsung items. Durability It is a new purchase, but we have been very satisfied with Samsung's durability.

Love this tab

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 recently and got a discount on the market price. The features of this tab include Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, a 7-inch multitouch screen (1024 x 600), an 8GB internal memory, microSD expansion up to 32GB, a wireless N wi-fi (802.11b/g/n), bluetooth 3.0 and 1GHz a dual-Core processor with 1GB RAM. It also has a 3.15 mega pixel rear camera which captures images that have a good quality. I initally used to find it troublesome to connect to the browser and so called up the support department and they guided me on how to solve the issue on my own. I have saved a lot of files and ebooks as well and I carry this tablet wherever I go and it is light in weight as well. I got a pouch along with this tablet which looks quite fashionable and the pouch easily fits into my bag. I love accessing Google play store apps on my tab and have downloaded several applications and all these applications run smoothly without any connectivity issues or speed issues. The screen is big enough and so I am able to watch movies as well while travelling.

Great

This tablet runs quite fast at first but overloading it with more than 700 MB of apps will slow it down a bit but, over all it is above average in my opinion. Durability I've dropped my tablet a couple times screen down and couldn't notice any major cracks or dents.

Stepdaughter loves it,Christmas winner

I was definitely going back and forth about whether to get the iPad or the Galaxy. There's definitely a significant price difference but I know a lot of people who say Apple is better. Well I don't know about them but Samsung has been great with customer service and we had very little issues with the tablet. My stepdaughter enjoys herself and the only issues we had was it needed to be reset for some reason so the battery wasn't charging but Samsung got it working again within the day so no complaints about that! Overall really good product.

Love this tablet

I have had my tablet for a little over a year now and I love it. I have a galaxy s phone too, and its like a big version of my phone with a few more options. Everything I enjoy doing, games, apps, etc. I do on my tablet. You can download all your ususal apps on here and games, and search the web as usual, plus I can carry it around with me a lot easier than trying to carry a laptop. Battery Life The battery life on mine is great. I didn't think it would be very good, but it has proven me wrong. I have a bunch of games on mine, and so do my kids. I have a bunch of apps on there too that are constantly syncing and/or running and the battery still lasts for a lot longer than my phone and even my laptop. Processing Speed The processing speed is pretty good. It is quick to load and download all the websites, games and apps I use and have put on it. I can download apps in a matter of a minute or less without any problems from it. I can have multiple things running at one time and it doesn't seem to affect it at all. Weight It is very light weight, but yet strong for as light as it is. I have stuck it in my purse while I went shopping and didn't even notice it being in there. It is a lot easier to carry around than a bulky, heavy laptop. App Availability It offers all the apps that the android market/google pay store has to offer. I have downloaded a wide variety of things to mine. I have put anything from numerous games, e-mail apps, social media apps, even resume apps on mine. About anything you can think of they offer it. Design I like the design. It is basic, but yet sleek at the same time. It is simple with only two buttons, which I like, but yet has a wide variety of options to use. I think they offer it in two different colors. The entire front is all touch screen, so you don't have to worry about accidentally hitting buttons while trying to do stuff on it. Durability Mine has been very durable and help up to a lot. It doesn't weigh much, but it is strong. I have accidentally dropped mine a few times, and it never hurt it at all. It's held up to me and my two young boys, and is still going strong.

I love this thing! I've had my tablet for a few months now, and so far I've been very impressed with its HD display, 4G connectivity, and processing power. My favorite ways to use my tablet is watching videos and playing a n64 emulator. Both look great on the tablets large screen. Price-wise this thing is also a steal. Compared to other tablets on the market, this one has a very reasonable price range. Battery Life Unless you're constantly using it, the battery lasts for many days, going into weeks. I charge mine about once every 2 weeks, and it charges very quickly. Processing Speed The only time I've ever experienced slowdown is when running an emulator, although that is likely due to the program and not the actual hardware of the tablet. Every app and video runs smoothly and load very quickly. Weight The tablet is not heavy at all, and feels comfortable in your hands. App Availability I'd say that the Andriod market is even more expansive than the App Store market for the iPhone. You can get many quality apps for free, and Design It feels comfortable in your hands, but is a bit wide when reaching for certain buttons. Durability Has lasted me for a few months now.
