When I got this phone I just wanted a cheap smart phone and it worked out okay. I found out that the headphone jack didn't work and had to return it. I got a refurbished phone and the head phone jack still doesnt work and the phone freezes all the time. As soon as my upgrade is ready, I am getting rid of this phone! Design The ticker bar at the bottom of the phone seemed like a good idea when I got it, but it is really just wasted screen space. If you get a case for the phone you can't even use it.

I was so excited to get a smartphone, but have been kind of disappointed in this one. It has many features that I love, but some things that I don't like. I have had a really hard time getting used to texting without the dial pad option. I love to text and now it is a joke with my family that it takes me so long to write texts now. I wish it had the option of using the dial pad to text, but so far I haven't found a way. I love all the apps it has available for free. I have been reading books on it which makes it nice when I was on vacation and didn't have to take the books with me. My battery doesn't last very long, but I play a lot of games and use my phone alot, so I just make sure I take my cord with me when I am going to be away from home. I have had it quit sending my emails and had to take it in and have it reset to the original settings, which was a big inconvenience for me. I wish I would have paid more and got the Droid or waited for the iPhone. I think I would have been happier with it.

This is a nice smart phone. I wish I had gotten a good deal on the price. It is a good size with a decent size screen. It is fairly easy to use and the verizon salesman set-up a lot of the features for me and showed me how to access them. It has a great camera on it with zoom and video on it. It has a lot of features including kindle, music, photo gallery with easy to flip through applications. My only complaint is the alarm is not loud, it does not always wake me up.

When it was time for me to upgrade my phone, I decided to upgrade to a smartphone. I was undecided on which operating system I wanted, going back and forth between the Android and the iPhone. I decided to go the Android route and chose the Samsung Continuum, SCH-1400. I immediately fell in love with this phone! It is smaller than the iPhone, which allows better fit in my small hands. I has been very easy to customize. I love that I can put the apps that I use most often on the "front page". There is also a status bar, that is touch sensitive on the side of the phone, that provides quick updates like the time, the RSS feeds that I subscribe to, and icons to let me know if I have email, voicemail, text message, ect waiting to be read. The screen if very sharp. I am an avid Kindle girl and it is very easy to ready from the Kindle app, with little to no eye strain. My 2 year old son loves the child friendly apps that I was able to download, for free. Others have often said that the smartphones battery life is bad. I have not found this to be true. I usually charge it at night, but even leaving it off for a night, I still have plenty of battery life left, with normal use. Very Please with this phone!
