the best refrigerators I've owned

5

This is one of the best refrigerators I've owned. We have had it over 6 years. It works just as it did six years ago. It's not too noisy. It keeps your food really cold. The vegetables stay nice and crisp. The beverages are so cold. You have a lot of shelves so a lot of storage. I can store big containers with ease Noise Level It makes noise, but nothing too bad. It didn't bother me at all. Interior Organization It has a lot of space. It has plenty of shelves. You can rearrange them to have space for bigger items. I loved that Temperature Control You can adjust the temp on the botton drawer. It kept my fruits and veggies fresh which made them last longer. Ease of Cleaning I had a bit of trouble when somethink leaked and it would get in the shelf cracks. Not too big of a hassle though Durability Have had it six years and have had no issues. Freezer works great too. Still feels like new Design Not anything over the top. It's a refrigerator and serves the purpose. It's nice though. Have no complaints

Good refrigerator but strange sounds

4

This is a great refrigerator. First time i've owned a refrigerator with a french door. Old unit had 2 doors, freezer on top. Lots of space and compartments. Easy to clean in and out. Stylish appearance. Keeps the food cold at just the right temp. Freezer doesn't make ice cream too solid. I use the ice dispenser tray as another storage compartment for small items. Can't put bulky items there or the bottom drawer doesnt close. I live with other 2 other roommates and we all buy our own food and we've never run out of space. I've noticed one problem that the other reviews didn't seem to mention. The unit is normally silent, but as it settles, changes settings or does whatever it does throughout the day, it makes very audible clicks and hums. If the house is quiet, I can hear it from my room down the hall. Overall, stylish refrigerator with lots of space, but no distingushing features. Strange sounds? Maybe only my unit.

Consistent, Quiet, Nice Features

I have had this fridge for about a year and have had no problems with it. I love the door chime, I now wonder how often my old fridge's door was ajar and I just never knew it. The ice maker is wonderful, consistenly makes ice, in fact sometimes too much but I just found a button to tell it to turn off (I guess I should have read my manual better). I love that it displays the temperature for the fridge and freezer as well. Nice deep freezer drawers that hold a lot. My only complaint is that with the large bottom freezer, it seems like my refrigerator portion is smaller than what I used to have with the top freezer I used to own. But, it has nice deep pockets for storage in the doors so that helps a lot. This fridge is super quiet except when dropping ice but even that isn't too loud. For the price, this is a really great deal and you won't be disappointed.

Samsung Great Quality!

4

My old fridge was 19 cu. ft.  Small for my family but it did it's job.  My family decided to switch our old appliances with new stainless ones.  The other Samsung fridges we loved but were so expensive.  This one has the ice and water on the inside.  We love it.  Their is so much more room in the fridge because their is no in the door water and ice.  Our water is inside the fridge on the side, so it does not interfere with the condiment side doors.  The ice is in the bottom freezer and you just scoop it out with the provided scooper.  I love it!  I give an old fashioned feel to it.  Really we don't need crushed ice often so we opted for not having it.  The refrigerator is big and roomy.  It fits everything!  It is so much better without that big ice box that fridges with door water and ice have.  The only complaint I have with this refrigerator is the meat and cheese door.  You have to open both doors in order to take anything out or put anything in.  Overall, this is a great fridge for the price!

Fabulous French Door Fridge!

4

We've had our Samsung Stainless Steel French Door Fridge for over a year now.  We cannot say enough good things about this fridge.  It keeps everything cold and fresh.  The inside of this fridge is very spacious and has room for items of all different sizes.  I especially like the deli drawer that keeps deli meats and cheeses nicely organized.  The freezer drawer is endless and I am able to keep many items on hand for my family of 5!

Finally, a great refrigerator!

This refrigerator is perfect for what our family needs.  We had a normal fridge before... freezer on top, fridge on bottom which was acceptable... but living with this one is just wonderful!  I love how you can open and shut either door without having to open both.  I also happen to like the chime that goes off when the fridge is left ajar.  That is very helpful on busy days!  The freezer is roomy.  It has an ice maker and a drawer above the main section of the freezer.  The main part of the freezer is a bottom drawer to the fridge.  It's a little weird how you have to open both doors to access the meat/cheese drawer.  This is also true of the right produce drawer too.  Those are the only weird things that we have found out about this fridge so far!  This fridge has been in this home for almost a year now and has been a lifesaver when holding our new baby.  The freezer is rarely used compared to the fridge, so I don't have to bend down often to get things.  It's very convenient!

The fridge of my dreams!

We got our white Samsung RF265ABWP fridge in September 2008 from Lowe's.  It is a bottome freezer, french door fridge model.  I love it.  It has one compressor, but separate evaporators for the fridge and freezer so that smells do not mix.  Because of this, you have to lift the freezer handle up to break the seal before you slide it open.  That motion took a little time to get used to, but not I do not notice it. The fridge and freezer both have great capacity.  The fridge doors have plastic buckets, almost, that snap into slots.  These are great, if sometimes a little tall. Shorter jars of jelly can disappear for some time, since you cannot always see them.  However, recently we bought a gallon of milk that turned out to be cracked.  About half of the still-sealed gallon leaked out, but all the milk was contained in the bucket.  I was so happy to be able to pour out the milk and only have to wash one little piece of the fridge. We had a hard time finding a fridge that met my specifications (white, no ice maker/water dispenser on the outside, freezer on the bottom) but this fridge is everything I wanted.  I would definitely recommend this fridge.

Samsung The ULTIMATE reasonable priced refrigerator

So, two days before my daughters birthday party, for which I was making an enormous birthday cake, our older than dirt refridgerator finally up and died.  There was no panic at first, then I realized that all the buttercream frosting in the fridge was going to spoil if a new fridge wasn't found soon.  Off to the stores.  We had been looking around casually at refrigerators for a while with the intention of replacing our aged machine at some point, but we hadn't really decided on a style or model as there wasn't an urgency.  It was urgent now, so we found a style we wanted and pinpointed the model then embarked on the quest for finding someone who had it in stock.  Everywhere we turned they didn't stock it or they would take over a week to ship it.  That was not going to work.  We finally found a supplier who could get it to us the next day, and at a reasonable price. We selected the Samsung because they were one of the few brands who combined the french style doors (I was really excited about the freezer on bottom) with the water and ice in the door (a must).  This particular model was an upgrade from the start for us with heaps more interior room and in each door.  And I can't say enough about the freezer on the bottom with the slide out drawers (FAB!!).  The only two negative comments I have are that the fridge is quite a bit deeper than some, so space could be an issue if you have a traditional space for a fridge in your kitchen.  We actually had to take out some cabinets to fit it in the space.  And the deli drawer cannot open completely without both doors open.  A small complaint but still an inconvenience. I love my refridgerator!

Snap, crackle and pop

1

After 14 months and 3 refrigerators, I'm giving up. The RF265 and RF263 series refrigerators make loud popping sounds. I've been through two RF265s and one RF263, and they all make the same noise. The popping sounds are random, and wake the family in the middle of the night. Now my RF263 makes squeaks and cricket sounds. I've given up on Samsung refrigerators.

A true beauty that works like a charm

4

We purchased this **Samsung RF 265** as a second refrigerator for our home.  Yes, that is right, we have his and hers refrigerators!  This one is hubby's and he adores it for the most part.  First, I want to say that this is a beautiful french door refrigerator.  It is a piece of art for your kitchen. Features:  26 cubic feet storage capacity; 2009 Energy Star rated; Automatic filtered ice maker in freezer; twin cooling system; surround air flow; power freeze and power cool options; cool select pantry with temperature control, two humidity controlled crispers, tempered glass spill proof shelves; gallon door bins, ez open handle on freezer door; cooltight door; door alarm; water filter indicator; egg container; pizza pocket; concealed hinges; contour doors with smooth finish; and internal digital blue LED display panel. Having the freezer on the bottom is great and the freezer is huge.  There is plenty of room to store meats and frozen foods of all sorts.  Having owned the refrig for almost a year now, I can say it is working nicely.  There are a few complaints but nothing major.  First, as noted in a previous review, the door alarm can be annoying.  For goodness sakes, I know that I left the refrigerator door open, and I left it open for a reason.  Wish we could turn off the alarm.  You get a ding, ding, ding when the door stays open too long.  Secondly, there is a tray in the refrigerator section to keep fresh meats and cheeses, but the tray is the entire width of the refrigerator.  Therefore, you have to open up both doors of the refrigerator in order to open that one tray.  That is frustrating.  Other than that, we love the Samsung and would purchase it again. I would recommend this refrigerator to anyone looking for a large capacity nice looking frig.
