Bad battery life, can't call someone if an emergency occurs!

1

Terrrible battery life, goes dead fast. Inever got any scratches on mine b/c I kept covers on it, plus on the screen I use screen protectors. It's an awful phone. I like the way you can text, it's simple, I can use my finger nail, but it throws questions marks in places it shouldn't! The Memoir is a much better phone. These phones have been out for a long while. I don't like the new phones, that you can't text with our nails, like the Motorala Cliq 2- on those the letters are too close together. Even on the HTC- I couldn't use it. So, I took 2 phones back. T-Mobile did me wrong on this phone- so, I dropped the contrct with them, and that has been awhile back, too. T-Mobile promised to send me something to send the phone back in, they didn't, so I called them to inquire about it, they told me, "The warranty is expired now." So, I said, "So is your contract." I had been with them when Sun -Com was the owner, so that was way back- " But I also went into one of their stores, and told them, I wanted an up grade, and they told me I couldn't do it!" Well, we went down town and paid 5 hundred for an upgrade on 2 phones, so I think they don't know what they were talking about!" Got tire of dealing with them acting crazy- Went in one of the T-Mobile stores to ay a bill, I was told ,"You can't do it here!" I see the machine, where you could, so that was the same store that told me I couldn't get an up grade. Ha, I don't know how that store runs.

Ehh, this phone is alright

At first I thought, "This phone seems pretty nice. It also has a 5Mega Pixel camera." Meh its ok. The touch screen is pretty bad, when im trying to scroll down on my song list or my phonebook, sometimes it doesnt even scroll down because you have to press down pretty hard on the screen to get it to scroll, instead i have to use the bottom on the side. Has useful and basic apps like a calculator, a world time clock, currency/volume/temperature converter, a timer and a stopwatch. The 5.0mp camera is pretty decent, don't expect too much. When texting, you can use the numberpad for letters, but if you tilt the phone sideways, then it becomes a keyboard. The letters are quite small so its better if you have smaller fingers. Sometimes the phone loses connection with the memory so i lose all my songs and playlist so I have to take out the battery and memory stick, put it back in and then I get my songs back. During calls it doesn't always lock the phone so I sometimes end up delete contacts. Overall I would not get this phone. Durability Dropped a few times and still good to go Ease of Use Scrolling and texting is difficult

i must be the last person on earth to not have a smart phone, and that's because i don't on cell phone communicaiion that often. but when i do i just need a simple cell phone like this one to help me stay connected. the sound quality is good, sometimes i crackles, but i guess it also depends on what service provider you also have. i have AT&T and sometimes it is a hit or miss with them. but again, i dont use cell much for anything other than actual calls. at first it is a little hard to navigate around, but after playing around with it for a while, i got the hang of it, but then there still is the user's manual if you get really lost on how it functions. im not a real big techie, but this phone is sufficient for my Daily use. so i recommend it for those of you who want to stay connected with family or friends but dont want to deal with many of the functions that you usually can do on a laptop or computer such as internet and email access, etc.

The Behold Rose is fun, attractive and very easy to use.

After owning, using and loving the original Samsung Behold in the Rose color for over a year I believe that I am hooked. The sleek design of the Behold and the touchscreen capabilities are what attracted me to this phone. I was concerned at first about the durability of the screen because all functions are performed by touch. After a year of constant use, and a few tumbles, it is still in excellent shape. The screen shows no signs of wear marks that can appear from repetitive use. I love the keyboard features. You can use the traditional keyboard vertically, or by simply turning the phone horizontally you have a full QWERTY keyboard with letters large enough that you don't type three letters for every one you try to hit. There is an app store, which in the year I have owned the phone has only added 2 or 3 apps to it's original 2 or 3, none of which I find useful. There are many games to purchase and ringtones are in abundace but I would have liked to see more apps. Overall I think this is a very easy phone for a first time user that might be intimidated by a touchscreen.

Fun, easy to use touchscreen phone.

The Samsung Behold is a good choice if you are looking for a touchscreen phone.  I don't pay for the internet services on the phone, so I don't know about any of those features.  It is great for text-ing because it has a full keyboard on the screen when you turn the phone horizontal.  The phone is easy to use, has a good camera, video, and MP3 player.  I have a clear plastic case and screen protector for it which I would highly recommend.  I like that the phone is on the larger size of cell phones these days because it is easier to hold onto and talk on and the "keys" are not too small.  The battery life is good and it charges quickly.  Overall, it is a great phone for someone who is not looking for a "work" phone and who doesn't quite care enough to take full advantage of something like an i-phone. The only complaints I have is that the screen is hard to see in direct sun light and sometimes I accidentally mute the call with my cheek because of where the mute button is on the screen during a call.

Behold is something to behold

5

I've had my Samsung Behold since January 2009 and love it more and more each day. it has all the right features and I love the touchscreen. I got the behold because I wanted touchscreen but did not want to have to have internet service, like with the G1. The only downsides I can see are the touchscreen sometimes 'times out' for a second or two while texting. then it catches up. and the camera takes some getting used to. once you press the button to capture a picture, the picture doesn't actually get taken for a couple seconds. so if you have a toddler running around, chances are you won't get the picture you were trying for. one solution to this is to change the mode to continuous. then the camera tkaes 9 pictures in a row and you have a better chance of getting the shot. other than the tow things listed above, the phone is great. games play very well. the screen is large. almost as big as the phone itself. sound quality is great on calls both in the earpiece, speakerphone and bluetooth. it is very easy to transfer files (songs, pics, videos, etc) from the phone to the computer and vice versa. definitely a good purchase for a tech savvy person wanting a cool new phone with lots of features.

Great Phone

4

I recently needed a phone, and I bought my sister's Samsung Behold. It is a slightly older touch-screen phone. It is easy and fun to use. I can search the web, upload and play music & video files (which is great for my toddler!), and take and edit photographs and videos from the phone. My only real dislike is the camera. It is entirely too slow! By the time it actually takes the photo, I end up with the back of my toddler's head! The video function is great, though. Also, the phone was used and had been through some drops and falls, and had been drooled on by her toddler, but it has still stood up great to the few drops (onto tile flooring) and occasional drool it has received since I got it. I love the photo album. You can flip through it photo by photo, or you can tilt the phone and scroll through them that way. It came standard with a few games, and has many that you can download. The contact list is amazing. And the calendar function has really helped me keep up with all of my appointments, which is hard to do when you have a toddler running around. I also really enjoy the full keyboard when sending a text. Once you click to send a text, you simply turn the phone sideways and it converts to a full QWERTY keyboard. The predictive text can be annoying at times, but any phone with predictive text will sometimes enter the wrong word. My oldest daughter is still trying to figure out the "maccaroni" comment. I also didn't like the lack of ability to connect to a Wi-Fi. I have a wireless home network, and I used my old phone (T-Mobile Shadow) to connect to my Wi-Fi. This phone doesn't offer that function, but you can connect to the internet through the service provider, which, of course, costs.
