The Samsung Blackjack II is my fifth phone since entering into the technologocial world of cellular telephones. It may very well be my last. I love it that much. I know that in a couple of months, this piece of plastic, wires and metal will be so obsolete that only technologically challenged people like me will still have them!
I am a picture taker and a texter. Most of the time, if I take a picture on my phone, it is for a specific reason or person. Chances are I'm going to forward that photo on to someone. Sometimes, I take it because I odn't have a camera of the digital variety handy. This is shen I send the photos to my e-mail address, where they can be forwarded to on from there.
More times than not I'm simply passing it on to those in my contact list. Pictres of the new grandbaby with her first smile; the dog with a Grands Biscuit in her mouth that is bigger than her head, or 20 teenagers in my livingroom playing twister. The Blackjack II takes awesome pictures. They are clear and bright and rarely do I have to edit them; though the ability to do so is there!
Texting is done with a full keyboard. The regular keyboard types in lowercase letters. A shift key pushed once changes the next key pushed to a symbol. Push the shift key twice and it changes everything to the symbol test page until you hit the shift key again. It is the same with the Caps Lock Key. Once will change one letter to a Capital; twice wlll change the entire text to a capital letter scheme, until you unlock it again. Once a period is added, the phone will automatically capitalize the next letter.
The phone comes with a couple of different games already installed, as well as examples of other games that you can purchase the full editions for downloading. The phone also supports JAVA games, where you can go to Mymedia.net and purchase various games. My personal favorite is Big Kahuna Words. The games get harder as each level progresses.
Demos include Midnight Pool, Ms. Pacman, Sims Bowling, and Brain Challenge which is a series of puzzles that you have to work in a short amount of time. Bubble Breaker has got to be one of the most addictive games there is. Clear all the bubbles by breaking three or more of the same color. If you can clear the entire board, you get a new one with more colors: if not, you can try the first board again.
The phone comes with an ISB cord that you connect to your laptop. You can upload your Outlook Calendar to your cell phone. Your appointments will then show up on your homepage.
There are 9 different alarms plus a wake up alarm that you can set. The wakeup alarm sets for every day of the week, though you can add alarms and times for specific days that are different. The other alarms are individual days that can be set to ring once or to go off every day. Choose one of the pre-loaded alarm tones, something you've downaded. I have one of my favorite praise and worship songs set to wake me up each morning.
Contacts can be set to include home, work and cell numbers; home addresses; spouse and children's names; birthday's; anniversaries; the name of their company , a photo, their Instant Message name; and their e-mail address just to name a few. You can then divide them into catagories: Personal, Business, Holiday or Seasonal.
The features on the Blackjack II are too numerous to list them all here. Hopefully I've included enough here for you to see what a terrific phone this is!
