I love this. My husband got it right after our friend moved up to Alaska. At first I was disappointed, "Where are we going to keep this Big Television" I was mad at how much he paid for it. Being a conscientious wife, I was a bit cross. Then, as we watched television shows and movies, and yes, played Xbox games---I fell in love. This is an awesome winner for the wife. HD on this is really amazing. The picture quality is something that I never thought I would like until I watched Cooking shows, Reality Tv, Chuck...and all my favorite shows in HD. We invited a couple of Andrew's friends to play, and it was really nice not to have to have an itty bitty screen hosting multiple players. I love it. We were able to connect our computer screen to the television--and I enjoyed watching movies online via the Samsung Screen. I liked it. Sound on it is not bad either. I thought that the quality was good. I love the options to adjust the screen and picture quality. One can make it smaller larger, stretch! This was fun to utilize. The only thing is that if you scratch the screen I think it might cost you some. It is not like a glass television screen--so becareful while moving it. We scratched it and you can see it if you focus hard on it. So becareful and think about how big the object is you are moving! Picture Quality Good quality and when we have HDMI channels, the TV really shows how well it can display its picture quality. Sound Quality Not bad for sound quality. It's not a surround system, but for our family it works and is pretty nice. Durability Has lasted us about 3 1/2 years without any problems. Design I like the design, fits in the corners of our house quite well. Performance We love our TV and it has really exceeded my expectations of a Samsung. Love it and will probably get another one like it when we're ready for a new one.

We bought this tv used about two years ago. Ours is a 2003. (So its about 7 years old) It just went out about two weeks ago. We can't figure out what is wrong with it. We contacted Samsung and they said it was the lamp so we tried replacing that and it still doesn't work. For the price we paid and for how long we used it I'd say its a pretty good buy. The screen is huge and it's excellent for watching movies on. We even hooked up our surround sound and it made you feel like you were in the movie theatre. My kids loved watching their tv shows on it and are sad that it no longer works. If you are buying one completely new I'd say its a great buy but if you are buying it used I'd be careful at which one you pick. I have read a lot of other reviews that said they had the same problem we did. The TV stops turning on and no one can find a way to fix it. I don't know if its because it's Samsung or what, but just be careful what you buy.
