I researched long and hard before I bought this TV. When I saw it came in 1st in Consumer Reports' with more points than any other TV, that put it over the top. I was sure I'd be getting the best TV. Until I turned it on. The picture IS stunning. Very deep and excellent color. But, if something's moving - especially a scroll - it blurs as soon as it starts and half the time breaks up into a jagged mess. The picture size was another irritation. It started out smaller than the screen by about 5-6 inches all around. Then it blew up, like I'd zoomed in. This blured the picture and lopped off about 5-6 inches. No amount of calibration fixed these problems. Maybe I just got a dud. This TV was not what I was expecting at all. Picture Quality The picture was generally fine. Except for moving print. Then it blurred and sometimes broke up. Sound Quality Fine. Durability Can't really say. I returned it within a week. Design As good as any HDTV. Performance Depends. Sound - fine. Picture - fine. Unless there are words. Especially if they're moving along the bottom of the screen.

We decided to buy the Samsung LN55C650 55-inch LCD TV because we have had previous Samsung products and without fail they have been great.This company has a proven tract record in our house. This set is no exception as it has a great picture. The oversized screen allows everyone to see the screen in a comfortable setting.. I don't know much about electronic but it does seem rather easy to work after the initial connections were made. We appreciate that it exceeds the energy standards and my grandchildren love the sharp pictures they now have when playing their games. The sounds are realistic and at the touch of a button the picture and sound is optimized. I appreciate the Automatic adjusment of the different componets to give the best picture and sound and that this set offers a 181 channel capacity. Now if I could find a show I want to see. The Color enhancer delivers great colors and sound quality that makes this set great.

I received the best birthday present ever last year from my wife right before football season! She bought me a 55 inch Samsung HDTV LCD TV and when I saw it I knew at that moment that I had the greatest wife in the world. She said now I could watch my college football like I have always wanted to, and boy was she right. This TV is absolutely incredible. It is so big and the quality of the picture is absolutely amazing. I don't know how much she paid for it, but she said she got a great deal on it, but I won't ask because that is good enough for me. It also puts out great sound and it looks so good in my living room. This is a great TV by a great company. Samsung can always be trusted with quality products. I love this TV!

My husband is big gamer so he is rather picky about the quality to picture. The picture, as long as, you have HD cables is awesome. Not only does he have his xbox hooked up in HD to the television but, we have our blue-ray player hooked up as well. I love how we are able to to have multiple system hooked to the television at the same time so we don't have to constantly move everything around. I also really love how the television is able to sense when the blue-ray player is turned on, the television will turn on and go to the right output automatically for you. It really is a smart television. We got a good deal on because circuit city was closing, but even spending full price on the television would be more than worth it. It looks nice and sleek in the livingroom and I think does a nice job bringing the room together. My one complaint is that the volume could be a little bit better on it, but I guess thats why they make surround sound :)

I purchased my Samsung 55 inch tv back in Oct 2009, and for the past year and a half, it's been amazing. Prior to this tv, I owned a Sony Vaio (flat screen but thick and 100 lbs). This tv obviously blows that tv away, but it also blows away all of my friend's HDTV's. The sheer size is amazing. Most of my friends have 42 or 47 inch tvs, so this 55 inch tv looks like a monster. The picture is crystal clear, and the colors while watching HD programs are incredibly vivid. The tv is pretty flat, but not the super thin size of the new Samsung tv's, but it really doesn't matter. It's flat enough. I currently have the tv resting on a tv stand, but this tv can easily be mounted on the wall. The base swivels which makes it convenient as well. I highly recommend this tv.

The Samsung 55" HDTV LCDTV is so remarkable. The slim model is so attractive and easy to store weather on a tv stand, dresser, or mounted on a wall. The HDTV picture brings a very clear crisp picture. The pixels on this tv are sorted so clear and crisp per image. It is so clear it is almost like your inside or with the movie your watching. It took me awhile to get use to that it was almost too spooky lol I have Dishnetwork, and though the 120 htz are compatable to this, Dishnetwork does does push out 1080 PI yet, we only recieve the 720Ipa. However, you can not tell the difference because Samsung made this televison pixels very clear. The picture options are great, you can set to warm, movie, movie cinema, or standard. you can also set the picture size to 4.9 wide fit or 16:9; along with zoom in obtions. This tv does well with DVR recievers, I have had this Tv for over a year, and have used the dvr's functions to freeze live televison for over 5 mins and it has not yet burned images in the screen; though I try not to do that often this is not a good idea to do with any lcd televisons. Great quality television set, and I would recommend it to anyone!

This television is amazing! The picture quality is great. Watching movies like Avatar take on a whole new meaning with this television. You will feel like you are right there in the movie as a spectator instead of sitting in your home. This television has a sleek look to it and it would make a wonderful edition to any home. One of the best things about this television is its Internet connectivity. From your television you can listen to pandora, watch nextflixs, check sport score, play games, or check your facebook. The televisions sound system is also really good. Most television sounds systems aren't the best but this television has a great sound system built in and at a level 30 or 100 the television fills my house up with sound. The one con that I have about this television is that when you are watching some movies with dark scenes (like Daybreakers) the dark scenes can appear to be a little grainy. This television is a little bit spendy but it is worth every penny!

I was not sure whether this big a TV was right for me since I had used my old twenty-five-inch tube TV forever. When TV broadcasting went to digital, I could have gotten a converter box to keep the old set running--and even now, it is a useful set, at least for old VHS tapes and the like--but my friends insisted that a new set was the way to go. Everybody seems to like Samsung, especially for their LCD. When I first saw it, I thought it was not just big but too big, gargantuan, even. Now I feel that fifty-five inches is actually a nice normal size for a TV. The picture itself just blows me away. The detail is really incredible. I would almost say it is like being in a movie theater. That is a bit of an exaggeration, of course, but moving from an old tube TV to this wonderful Samsung does make me appreciate the genuine beauty of this technology. Mine has not been adjusted except to turn down the brightness just a bit--it has been a great product right out of the box.

Simply amazing. This came with my home theatre set and I gotta say, Im pretty lucky. Samsung did it justice with this tv. During game day, I just wanna jump in and tackle the quarterback. Quality is that amazing. Quality makes it very life like and its not even one of those 3D-TV's. I'd take this over that piece of trash any day. 55" is pretty darn big if you ask me. This is perfect for a theatre/ media room. Makes any house the official SuperBowl Viewing party hang out. This TV is the best. This is the greatest quality, greatest sounding, greatest looking TV I've every owned in my entire life. When this comes to video games, the quality looks so real, i forget im playing a game. I could be playing on a nintendo 64 on this thing and the quality would still be crisp and clean. The quality is that good. If you don't have this TV, I highly recommend on trading or selling your current TV and getting this one. This is the Maybachs of TV's! Highly Worth the money.

This HDTV LCD TV is great because of the size. At 55 inch it is something to take great notice, and it also means great type of television for everyone in the family or friends to watch. If you are one that invites many people over, then it is a great TV to get. The price for the television is great too, because it will last a long time without doing any damamges to it. I do not really notice any cons, but people made me realize little things such as buttons that are not necessary on the television. I am not one of those people who get disturbed by those things so it does not matter to me. The quality of the samsung HDTC LCD TV is also great especially if you like watching movies or the game, it makes it so much better to watch, which makes this tv a great investment. I would definately reconmend this for anyone who wants a really big television for their home or anywhere in general because of the great price, quality and size.
