I received this TV as a anniversary/early Christmas present from my wife as I once ogled over this TV at a electronics store. Well she noticed how lustful my eyes were toward the TV and she must have felt bad for me because the day it showed up at my door I about fell over. First thing first - the size. 55" is huge. I had a 42" lcd and plasma before and 55' inches is amazing. To see how a TV looks on your wall, go to the local craft or hobby store and get a large piece of poster board that is the same size as your TV and place it on your wall. Viola! I had a perfect spot for the TV and it worked perfect. As for the picture - 5 stars. The picture is flawless. The colors are bright and the color is fantastic. Right out of the box I ran a THX color and video test and the default settings were almost right on the dot. The speakers are loud and clear.  The remote control is back-lit, too!   I have not gotten to utilize the 3D yet so I can;t comment on it yet, but the TV is definitely one of the best on the market.

I purchased the Samsung UN55C8000 55 inch 3D LED TV after seeing an in-store demo. It compared favorably with Sony and other brands I looked at, but chose it based on the thin screen size and free 3D Blue Ray and glasses offered by Samsung in the deal. This TV has outstanding quality, brightness is just absolutely awesome. Contrast ratio absolutely outstanding (black is black not gray). In regards to 3D i think is Great, in my opinion its the highest technology available among all tv's at this point. I was not sure how much use a large screen 3D TV would be. Now that the football season has started. I am so glad I made this purchase. May guests and I can see the picture from almost any angle up to 179 degrees. The colore are crisp and true. The clarity is amazing. The picture quality is definitely better than I ever expected. The 3d is very cool and so life like.  There's no need to say a lot here. The color accuracy, as well as the overall saturation of colors in any viewing environment is essentially flawless. I really can't take points off here. The color accuracy and the way the colors are displayed on this television regardless of which picture mode is being used, is absolutely stunning.

This Samsung TV is amazing!! The quality is excellent. The image quality is so realistic. It is like the characters are right infront of your face. Ive never experience a television with this visual capability. Even old movies look as if they were just filmed. Usually you can tell that something is a movie just by the way the quality of the film is presented on the tv. The old movies picture quality seems as if they grabbed you from your seat and brought you into the television. I didnt even mention the 3D!! This television showcased my purchased 3D movie in such a beautiful way! The 3D on this television is better than the movies! My living room seriously felt better than the movies! I also watched sports in 3D which was amazing as well. This tv also have Internet tV which is also amazing. Im able to watch all my Netflix, listen to Pandora and Napster. I am able to view my photos from Flickr, and log into my Facebook and Twitter. Get this TV!!! I love it! Now I dont feel the need to go to the movies just to watch 3D, because I have my 3D in my living room.

This television is amazing! Good picture quality, amazing price...good bang for your buck. In my opinion, better than the 9000 series for your money and it comes with 3D glasses, unlike the 9000. You can alway purchase the same remote for this television like the one with the 9000 series.

My husband and I just purchased this TV about 2 months ago, and we LOVE it! The color is amazing, its almost like the shows were filmed different. You can watch tv like regular or you can click the 3D button and put on your glasses and watch it in 3D. (the men especially love it for 3D football games!) Video games can also be played in 3D as well! It is internet ready so if you hook it up to your router just push the "Yahoo" button and you are on the internet. All around it is a GREAT tv and I recommend it to anyone!

My mother purchased this TV. 3D was not a necessity, but a bonus with this one. I personally would not have set out to pay for a 3D TV as the cost of glasses and special movies is a downer for me. However, HOLY GEICO COMMERCIAL!! What I didn't know is that this TV allows you to put regular television into a 3D mode. It opened up a whole new world for me. It was amazing. I was most impressed just watching the commercials. Not the supreme quality compared to watching the specially formatted 3D Monsters movie that came with the TV, but it was pretty good.  If you are in the mood for something special (by the way only for two people, glasses are pricey and cost extra), but I would probably get sick if I watched it all the time. The LED technology stands alone in my opinion. Such sharp contrast, crisp light, and the colors are very true to life. No other TVs compare to the color aspect. Black is truly black instead of gray since there is no projected backlighting. If I were to purchase a TV, I would not skip on the LED technology, maybe just the 3D for cost concerns. I think that since this 3D technology is fairly new, the motion blur has not been fully mastered. This is a large screen and it did struggle for a crisp picture with a football game in view. The refresh rate just isn't there yet. If you can handle a little motion blur during sports. Maybe the next series will be better. But, put in Avatar and you will be astonished. It was just like watching it in the theatre with their 3D glasses. And we didn't even have an official 3D version, just a blueray.

I finally decided to splurge on a new tv, and didn't want to miss out on the new 3D-TV craze, especially since my cable provider offers 3D service. The tv was light, compared to the size, and the picture quality is second to none. It's easy to change aspects for switching form HD to non-HD channels to maximize picture size, and the menus are easy to navigate. It is an awesome looking TV, with attractive LED lights on the front and a cool looking remote. I would recommend these TVs to anyone looking for a new 3D tv.

So far what i have read and have seen with t.v.s is that a lot of them say they are HD but are they really. i mean can you really tell. I have a 32 inch LG tv and it gets really good picture and i can't tell the difference. I had a regular tv and it had a better picture than the one i have now and it wasn't HD. Seriously is it worth paying extra for HD and not really knowing.
