Me and my hubby are Samsung fans. For their product looks and usabililty. We got a little bit of discount when a friend who worked at samsung purchased this for us. We love the subtle dark maroon of the outer frame. Picture quality itself is superb. The responding time of turning on the TV until you see the screen lights up and being active takes about 5-6 sec. If you are into 24 frame per sec movie feel, this digital TV may disappoint you when you watch your old movies. It turns movie into something too real. How do I explain this....the picture quality is so sharp it creates a crisp outline of individuals, which usually lacks in theatre movie experince, which are more grainy. The frame rate is sort of adjusted so you don't have the unique 24 fps movie feel. Everything looks clear and digital and like soap opera. Other than these 2 "flaws", I totally recommended it!!

This unit has a great picture.  We have ours mounted above the fire place we have had zero issues.  Even over the fire place it doesn't overheat.  Zero dead pixels in over 2 years.  The picture is very good.  Black looks black.  Blu-Ray and upconverting DVD plays and looks great on this unit. We don't have surround sound and we use the television's speakers.  The sound is fine with no issues to speak of. Refresh rate is fine.  Sports look great and console games play fine without any noticable lag or any refresh issues.  I like the fact that you can label your inputs in the television.  HDMI shows up as "HDMI - Cable", component shows up as "Component - Wii", or however you choose to label them.  This helps when the wife cannot find "where" the Blu-Ray player is.  We can see the picture and hear the sound from our kitchen that is easily 15 yards away.  I would recommend this television and I would buy it again.

I can't say anything bad about this Samsung TV, when we first went to buy a tv we went to all kinds of different stores to get the best deal, but it had to be quality.  My husband and I plopped our bottoms down on the couch that was in the store and we couldn't keep our eyes off of this beauty litteraly, my husband was like a kid in a candy store, and of coarse we had to get the samsung blueray to go along with the Samsung tv because this made it even better.  The last samsung we had we had mounted on our wall and the buyer that wanted to buy our house wanted us to include the mounted tv with the sale.  Needless to say that I was not happy but that meant that we could go out and purchase an updated and even better piece of technology for our new home.  We have movie night every friday or saturday night we pull out the hida-bed pop popcorn snuggle up and enjoy every minute of our new samsung tv.  Thanks samsung for making family night the perfect night ever!!

i love my television. i bought this 52 inch monster when i was in the market for a new television about three months ago. it has met and greatly exceeded my expectattions of what quality should be. on my old television it never came close to the clean image and quality of the picture and sound that this televsion offers and definately gives to the consumer. although there are all these new features coming out with newer televisions, i am extremely happy with the purchsae i made, and would definately recommend the product to a friend. everyone who comes over always compliments me on the purchase and acknowledges what a great product it is, and i definately agree and am extremely happy with my purchase choice. the price is comparable in the lcd/ flat screen marekt, it is a huge screen, and you dont have to sit right in front of teh television to see a great picture. it is a great product, and i am happy with my purchase.

I bought this television for my husband as a Christmas gift. He was extremely please as am I and the rest of the family. It has 1080p, which I never really could tell the difference without having a side-by-side comparison. But, when we first watched a movie on it that wasn't even blu-ray, I was very impressed! I have bought a playstation 3 since and I am even more please. I am the type who isn't technically savvy at all and barely pay attention to what's new in the electronic world. My husband, on the other hand, is very technically savvy so when it comes to anything electronic, I always look to my husband for some insight. I bought this tv with a hunch that it was the right one and I can definitely say I am pleased that I chose this one as a gift for my husband (and for the rest of the family too). Family movie night is so much better now with this television, and the blu-ray definitely is an added bonus. But, even without the blu-ray or high def channels, the picture quality is amazing!

Last tax season, my husband decided he NEEDED a big screen HDTV so I set out searching. After reading review after review and making multiple visits to the store to see them in person, we settled on this. Once I found the best price, it was a terrific buy. I would definitely recommend this tv and would buy it again. Although my husband says he wishes we would have bought bigger now, at the time it seemed huge compared to our old 30 something inch tv. My husband wanted it for his ps3 gaming and says he loves the graphics on it. The remote is pretty good but the wheel took a little getting used to. My husband is disappointed that there is no picture in picture and the included content is pretty generic and useless. The TOC aspect isn't very noticible either but that doesn't really matter to us. I'd definitely purchase again and maybe even allow him to go bigger with it. I'm excited to see what Samsung can do with their 3d tvs.

The picture display on this television is absolutely amazing. As well as the sound. It's energy star efficient and puts out low heat even when it's on throughout the day. I have a playstation 3 hooked up to it as well and play blu rays on it. Blu ray goes perfect with this television.The television itself looks gorgeous with its red touch of color border. Very unique. Everyone that comes over always gives compliments about it. Comes with built in cooking, fitness and children's games. Very advanced technology. The remote is pretty neat with its swivel button. I don't really care for the on tv buttons as they are hard to locate sometimes. Samsung makes some good quality televisions. The stand we bought for it fits perfectly as it swivels from left to right. I haven't had any issues with the supposed halo effect or anything with the lighting on the screen. I have had this television for over a year now.

Wonderful TV. The Samsung LN-52AZ50 52 in. HDTV LCD TV is the best TV I have ever owned.  The colors are so bright and the depth is wonderful.  The size is perfect for my living room.  I can't imagine having another TV in it's spot!   I would love to have a number of these throughout the house.   Sound, picture, size and price are unbeatable.
