Decent television

4

This is a good TV however I do not like the buttons on it. Having dual HDMI ports is a plus however. Picture Quality Looks more like an LCD than LED picture, but it is clear. Sound Quality The sound is not powerful, however it is very clear. Durability We have had this in our office since the day we got it, and it looks fine; no wear and tear. Design The toggle switch is my least favorite part of this television. click the toggle one way to bring up the options and then push it up and in to turn the TV on or off. Other function are to the left, right, forward, and back. You may think you are pushing it up, but you end up pushing the toggle forward or back. It feels very flimsy also. Performance The TV "mode" and etc display boxes sit on the screen for a lot longer than I have noticed others televisions do, which is annoying because it blocks the picture. The resolution is great however, we use it as a computer monitor as well as a television and the picture is never distorted.

Fantastic Television

5

We just recently bought this television and have not yet been able to add all the accessories we want to it (such as a PS3 or a blue ray player) but from what we do have hooked up this television, it is fantastic. The quality of the picture is great! We have even played movies that have very dark scenes in it and we didn't find any problems. This television has a very sleek look. We were amazed when we bought it to how small the box was. When we pulled the television out of the box it was slim and sexy looking. It was very easy to install. The one problem we had was installing the wall mount, we went to the Samsung website and found out which wall mount was needed. When we purchased this wall mount the holes and screws were to small and we had to drill bigger holes in the mall mount and buy new screws. The televisions sound system is also really good. Most television sounds systems aren't the best but this television has a great sound system built in.

Watch Out It is coming

Smasung tvs has always been around the world and are slowly increasing for consumer in price, high definition, and also in standards for everyone. I like 32 inch tvs because it is not too small nor too big nad the pixels int eh tv gives it a clear cut /hugh definition inmy vision. Everyone comes around when were having a party or  just watchigna  movie. It has a sharp picture nad everyone asks if it is new. THt is a huge compliment since we had it for around 3 months. When we connect this tv with computer, we have a great internet connection which gives us accesss to allot of websites online while still being able tos witch back to watch our favorite tv shows. With hd, eveything just looks so clear and it is defintelly worth the price. We are budget conscious so we dont want to wast eallot of money on useles sthings but this is absolutely a great value and it is great for kids and everyone tooo watch shows, movies, or just go on the internet to play games.

Samsung shines!

My family and I have looked at several televisions in the past year.  Every time we entered a store with electronics that's where my guys would end up at.  Since everyone had a t.v. in their bedroom with the exception of one son, he finally saved up enough money to purchase one.  It had to be nice, clear and bigger than anyone else's t.v. in their bedroom.  We did alot of shopping and comparisons in various stores.  My son was stuck on one brand at the time, but eventually he started leaning more toward Samsung.  We went on line to read reviews about different brands and found no cons to the Samsung brand.  The t.v. he ended up purchasing was the Samsung.  It had the best, sharpest picture quality out of all the other leading brands.  When we looked at the Samsung side by side to other t.v.s, the Samsung was by far the best quality.  I almost didn't need my spectacles to see the picture!  For gaming, it is awesome!  The other great thing about this t.v. is that it swivels too!  So it's great when you want to watch t.v. while your're in bed or sitting at your desk mult-tasking!  We plan to eventually replace all of our t.v's with the Samsung brand.  It was easy to set up and it comes with a dvd with information and instructions.  Very easy to follow and understand.  Now, everyone ends up in the room with the Samsung.

Excellent Bedroom TV!

5

After spending countless hours researching 32 inch televisions online for use in our bedroom we ended up purchasing this television set at Wal-Mart because they were having an excellent sale on it. Our primary television set is a Samsung LN55C650 55" LCD television and we are extremely happy with the picture quality on that set so we decided to stick with Samsung for our viewing needs. Upon arriving home with our new television we decided to test the picture quality. So we hooked up the set to our Playstation 3 system and put the movie Inception in. The picture quality is simply amazing. Both dark scenes and light/bright scenes are displayed exceptionally well. We also tested the image quality with our cable box. Both HD content on Standard Definition content look amazing on this set. The built in speakers are decent but I would recommend hooking up the television to an external set of speakers through a receiver or a soundbar. I plan on purchasing a Samsung HW-C450 Soundbar Speaker which emulates surround sound through a bar speaker that can be placed above/below the television and a wireless subwoofer. All in all, we are extremely satisfied with our purchase and would recommend this television to others.

Great picture, online interactivity could be better

I know you are probably expecting a technical review, one filled with whether the picture is better at 1080p or you could save your money and get 720p, backlighting settings, sound ohms and balance of bass and treble, and such.  But I don't know a lot about the specifications and technical aspects of this TV.  I only know what the average 58 year-old "housewife" knows: is it worth the cost, is the picture sharp, can i hear the dialogue clearly, are the colors true-to-life.  I can tell you that the answer to all those questions is a definite "yes." We live in Alaska, so we had to special-order this TV.  We chose it based on the recommendation of the specialty media store here and waited with some trepidation for delivery.  We were not disappointed.  The picture is fantastic. We were able to manipulate not only the backlighting, but also the contrast, brightness, etc., to get what is truly a sharp, amazing picture even though the television is mounted on a small piece of wall in a large living room that is nothing but floor-to-ceiling glass windows.  We don't use blinds or shades and in the summer here, the sun shines until 2:00 a.m.  But there is no glare, no washing-out of colors, no reduction in the picture clarity. Some of the alternative settings and commands are a bit confusing for us and we did have to experiment quite a bit with picture sizes to get one that does not cut off legends or stretch the picture out of proportion.  I wish the commands came with better or more explanatory information when you highlight them.  There is a nice sentence of explanation but sometimes, unless you are a video geek, you still have no idea what the category is, much less whether or not you should select one of the alternative settings.  The TV does not come with an owners manual - you have to look online or download so that is not a convenient source of information.  I am certain we are still "missing out" on many of the features available on the set. Even so, we are pleased with our purchase.  The sound quality is also very good, though you do have to be careful not to place other component pieces in front of the speakers.  Luckily our DVD is slim, but the satelite box was too deep to leave in front of the TV so we had to acquire a table on which to place the satellite box, gaming consoles, and our amp receiver. We have not yet connected the TV to our sound system -- on Richard's "honey do" list -- but the sound is still very clear and full spectrum.  For example, I am sitting in the dining room as I write this and am situated 20 ft to the side of the TV.  I am watching th movie "Alien" and the sound reaching me -- dialog, screams, music -- is clear and full.  You do not need a home theatre sound set-up to enjoy this TV. And we really enjoy the looks of this TV. i know the real issue is the picture+sound, but when you are mounting a TV as the focal point of a living room, especially one where it has to compete with views of Mt. McKinley, you want it to look good, too.  And this one does.  Slick, clean lines.  That smooth, classic look, as if it cost twice or three times what it actually cost.  I am certain the look would fit into almost any style decor or setting.  And it was easy to mount on the wall -- though the TV is heavier than you might think and we do have occasional problems with the mount loosening up because of the weight of the TV.  I think my only complaint (besides the lack of a paper owners manual included with the TV) is the difficulties in internet interactivity.  We always watch for any software updates and allow them, but we do find it difficult to get to the internet and also difficult to use the few included internet services.  Some of that might be due to our "unique" location.  The snow, cold often affect our sattelite reception.  We have our own wireless internet and while I have not noticed any problems with internet reception on our computers with the extreme weather, it might be part of hte problem with the TV internet connectivity.  But I don't think so.  I honestly think that Samsung lags in creating true internet connectivity and interactivity in their products.  So you do have to have a degree of patience and modified expectations in this area.  I have not tried to contact Samsung about this so I do not know how well their customer service might respond.  All in all, this TV was well worth the price, including the hefty shipping charge we had to pay to get it delivered to us up here in Alaska.  And we are very pleased with both the picture and sound quality.  I have absolutely no regrets that we did not get the 3-D or a larger screen model.  This model is perfect for us, for the setting, for our degree of use.  We are heavy movie watchers and this TV has proven perfect for whichever movie we watch -- and our collection is extremely eclectic (black+white, silent, travel, documentaries, dramas, comedies, BBC, etc.).  Our outdoor lighting does not dampen the picture at all.  I recommend this model without hesitation - I only gave 4 stars because of the lack of paper manual and less-than-perfect internet connectivity.

Gotta Sing it out loud for Samsung

4

Ok, this was my first venture into the flat screen TV and I'd reviewed and re-reviewed what was out there. I still had second and third thoughts about this but the selling point was that Samsung had a connection to Sony and that pushed me into their product. I must say I looked at many store models but bought it online from another company saving money and getting free shipping. The day it arrived, all I could do was look at the box and think, what have I got myself into. Opened the box and in less than 45 minutes, I was hooked up and watching TV on a screen that made me actually say: "Wow". I sat in different parts of the room and tried different room lights on and the picture was amazing from each place. I switched around to different channels and recorded things on my DVR. That too was amazing. Freezing the picture was clear, yes it was crystal clear. The sound, aided by a sound bar and sub woofer made the experience even better. Running thruogh the menu of things was a little tricky at first because I'd never had so many choices and this was not what I expected. Being able to fine tune the various parts of picture and sound qualities was great. The next project was hooking up my Mac and seeing how that worked as my larger than laptop monitor. Whoa, that kicked my oh so tiny (in relative terms) laptop picture. Being able to use the internet and everything that I use my laptop for was beyond what my mind pictured. Using it for watching DVDs gave me that home theater experience that I saw in many friends' and familys' homes.

Great TV for the price

Don't buy into people's nonsensical ideas about absolutely needing 1080p! With larger TVs, 1080p is extremely important, but the truth is that you don't need any more than 720p on a 32 inch television. This TV has excellent picture for most uses. If you're planning on using the TV as a computer monitor, however, do note that it cannot do some of the higher resolutions you might seek.

Excellent TV with many features

5

This TV can blend in any room due to its minimalistic color and design. It has more HDMI ports (4) than you will ever need, and there are multiple viewing modes depending on what you are trying to watch (movie, game, etc). This is actually my first flat-screen TV and I was impressed by the quality of Samsung. I would say Samsung is one of the top 3 brands when it comes to televisions. I am very happy with this product, and I guess the only other suggestion I would give is to choose a TV size that fits your room. I accidentally got a smaller TV than I needed (for the living room) and I probably should have bought a 42". Taking TV size out of consideration, this TV is very sufficient in terms of its features and capabilities. I am not a big fan of 3D TV, so you can save the extra money and just buy this TV because it is not 3D ready. Finally, I would have preferred a DVI input in place of VGA. Time to watch TV..
