I love Sam's Club.
I have lived all over Texas, in parts of California, and in and around Orlando, Florida.
I have been to Sam's Clubs in other states as well.
Unfortunately, it builds anxiety when gearing up to make a trip to the one in my hometown of Corpus Christi.
Make sure you bring a freezer bag; because, you are guaranteed to spend some time waiting in line.
Maneuvering about the club is a long and difficult process.
Items are left in carts and on palates in the worst possible locations for traffic flow.
Often, ice crystals are built up in ice cream and other frozen goods indicating temperature abuse.
Check all fresh produce closely. It often has suffered bruising, lacks freshness, or has experienced temperature abuse.
Buying the same cheese product can yield much different results, texture-wise, from one week to another. A sliced block is just a block when it is left out of refrigeration for too long.
Don't ever go between 12 and 1 on a week day.
Along with half the town on their lunch break and taking care of some shopping, most of Sam's tellers are on break as well.
By 1pm you will start hearing "all tellers due back from lunch at 1, please clock in and return to your register" every few minutes.
The lines at 1:15 are very long, and stretch into areas of high traffic flow along with the carts and palates left behind by the stockers.
Great company, but this location falls very short of every other club that I've ever been to.
