I own a Salton 3-cup Rice maker and I agree with this review. I normally prepare white long grain rice. It doesn't matter, whether, I prepare 1-cup or 3-cups of rice it is always slightly browned or dried out on the bottom of the pan. However, this problem doesn't affect the taste of the rice; but the rice is always clumpy! It doesn't matter if you reduce the amount of water used or increase the amount of water it is still CLUMPY.
