Ross Bartolomei is my hair prince, my savior. He literally rescued my dry,
damaged, train-wreck hair that had suffered the consequences of badly (an
understatement!) applied hair relaxers and anti-curl chemicals. I read
about Ross, the "hair doctor" who was genius with thick, curly hair in
Allure magazine and I scheduled my appointment immediately. It took a good
year to reverse the damage done by stylists who didn't know how to work with
my hair. That was 17 years ago! I followed Ross around like a puppy dog
from one Gold Coast salon to another. When he saw the future in the western
suburbs...

I am forever in love with Ross.  I used to wear a hat everywhere I went until I found him.  He pushed and pushed me to let him relax my hair.  I told him that someone had used some type of relaxer in the past and half of my hair broke off.   After a few visits with him my hair began to look much better.  I finally gave in to his wishes and was introduced to a whole new me.  THANK YOU ROSS!!!!   

Ross at Salon Hype is the greatest. I have been going to him for the past two years since the salon opened. I will walk in and tell him that I am bored with my hair, fix it. With no directions, now that is a lot of trust to put in someone you have only known for two years. He has not disappointed. My brother got married just as the salon opened, and as a member of the wedding party i knew there would be a lot of pictures taken that day, and just the day before the wedding his wife gave birth to their first child. Salon Hype is a home away from home for me. I have been going there since they opened and they understand what i need. I can walk into the salon without having any idea of what i want to do with my hair and Ross will have a briliant idea! I walk out loving my hair each and everytime. I am a regular of Ross's but when i need something last minute and he is unavalible he will make it a point to come by and make sure my hair is how i like it.

All I can say is the compliments are still coming in ten months later....

Where do I start with this overhyped dump? Both owners Ross, and especially Carissa lack the professionalism and courtesy needed to succeed in business. But since this woman was spoon fed her whole life, she doesn't have a clue in building something from nothing. With the exception of one employee, this place is not worth the time and especially not your money. The fake smiles and the bullshit water, tea and coffee can't cover up the stench of deceptive business practices and promises.
