The first time I saw the Hard As Wraps nail polish was in an ad featured in a magazine that I was leafing through. The gorgeous red color caught my eye first; then I was excited by the strengthening formula. I decided to buy the $5.00 bottle during my next trip to the drugstore.
The product is available in twenty colors. I selected "Heartbeat Frost" which is a deep, scarlet hue that dries to a sophisticated, lightly frosted shine. As directed, I cleaned and dried my nails thoroughly before application. I didn't shake the bottle; I just twirled it gently using both hands (to keep those pesky air bubbles from forming). The nail polish absolutely glided on my nails flawlessly. I was initially afraid that a formula with acrylic and nylon would be thick and difficult to apply. Not so. It came out of the bottle as smooth as silk and I had no problem applying the coat easily, even though I tend to experience hand tremors at times.
I could tell that one coat wasn't going to be enough with such a deep color, so I did apply a second coat after the first had dried a few minutes. The brush fans out evenly and the overall results were impressive. My nails are smooth, reflective, and a beautiful red. I didn't have to use a base coat or a top coat, and they wear as well as they do when I use much pricier products. Best of all, they lasted an entire week without chipping, peeling, or breaking.
Hard as Wraps combines strength, fabulous color, and ease of application in one bottle. With those results, I'm sure I won't be seeing a professional manicurist anytime soon.
