This nail polish is great. You can use it as a base coat and or a top coat. As a base coat it is pretty good. It fills in ridges and makes a really nice smooth surface for your color to glide right on to. As a top coat it is also really good. It really does protect your manicure nicely. A good way to put it on is to also make sure your seal the tip of your nail (swipe the nail polish along the tip of your nail to help prevent chips from water getting under the polish, among other manicure ruining perils). The only thing I don't care in the polish is that it takes FOREVER to dry. I suppose I have to deal with this fact seeing as quick dry polishes generally are made thinner and therefore do not protect your manicure as effectively as this or other long drying polishes. Overall this is one of my favorite top coats, and a really good base. You just have to set plenty of time aside for this manicure if you are going to do it.

I have used a lot of top coats..including expensive ones, but I always come back to this one. It is called double duty because you can use it as a base coat and as a top coat. Even when I get manicures at the nail salon, including shellac and even acrylic nails, I use this as a top coat to extend the amount of time between manicures. I can get my pedicures to last a month, by re-applying this topcoat. It is far superior to even OPI and some of the other salon topcoats. Durability Stays put and doesn't chip like othe brands.
