Saladmaster Ti 316 Titanium/Stainless Steel —

Don't make me mad or I'll change my review: Ok so I hosted a Salad Master party yesterday. Everything went great. Beautiful demonstration, food was good and the presentation was informative. Then came the part I'd been waiting for....my gift for hosting. Boy was I madder than a wet hen when I found out that I was NOT to get a gift because I did not have TWO QUALIFIED COUPLES. I tried my best to get my guest to bring their mates. I'm still mad (can you tell). The good news is that my house is clean. I think it's cleaner than when I bought it. I think that the Rep could have at least given me the gift for the effort and not to mention she booked another party from it. Moral of the story is this: Make sure you get a rep with a conscious and make sure you get both husband and wife to attend. Otherwise, it's a lot of hard work for nothing. I was planning on inviting my DOCTOR friends (people with disposible income) to the next party. I did mention this to the Rep. That alone should have been enough to keep me as an allie. However, no more parties for me. It's easier to just buy it...LOL

PROS

I have yet to purchase a Salad Master set.  I do have a few pieces of cookware  that I earned from hosting a few parties.  This cookware is awesome.  I dream of owning my own set.  It cleans up nice. My pieces still all look new and I have had them for many months and use them often.  In addition,  these pans unlike most pans on the market, do not leach metal which has known to cause cancer.  This is the only cookware backed by the National Cancer Society which in itself speaks volumes.  I highly suggest you try it out first by hosting you own party.  It is well worth it since you get wonderful (expensive) gifts and a free five course meal.  Your guest will be happy about that.

CONS

Your guest will not be so happy about the price tag of the cookware.  You will probably have to skip a house payment  (or two) to afford it.  It is expensive.  Mainly because is surgical grade stainless steel.  But, if it last for 30 years and contributes to the health of your family-then it's well worth it.  If you think about it, we really should make more of an investment on the things we use to prepare the food that we eat.  If you are sick a lot and the doctors are not able to tell you why---it just may be your cookware.  I suggest you do the research.  My boss, a cancer survivor, said that her doctor suggested she get rid of all Teflon cookware. I could go on, but I think you get the picture.

Competitors:  Yes, there are many but be careful.  There are various grades of stainless steel and various warrenties for waterless cookware.  I actually bought an Oil Core Skillet from a competitor.  I like it but, It does not have the detachable handles (which do make a difference) and it does not have the steam valve.  It is ok, but it's not Salad Master.

TIP

I suggest you book a party.  Please be sure your representative is a good cook.  I guess the only way to check up on that is to ask how long they've been w/the company and what dishes they are able to cook for your guest.  The more experienced ones seem to have several different things that they prepare. Do remember that is only a DEMONSTRATION dinner so while it is impressive don't expect the moon.  Also remember to invite TWO QUALIFIED COUPLES (see comment above).
