The Saitek keyboard can take a beating

By

from Union City, CA

Comments about Saitek Gamer's Keyboard:

Where to begin, I have owned this Saitek keyboard for well over 5 years now. Since then, not one button, feature, led, or anything has went bad or caused any problems. I know that might not sound like a big deal, but when you factor in the years of video gaming abuse and rage that this keyboard suffered, you would understand. I have, on multiple instances, lost in a online game, and in blind fury, took my fist and slammed it down on the keyboard as if it were my opponent. There have been times where the space bar had come off because I had hit it so hard. But putting it back was easy and for some strange reason, the little metal retainer that held that space bar in place never broke.

All the keys still have their letterings which is also a miracle seeing as how I often scratch keys with my nails.

The design is simple and minimalistic which is exactly what I want and need. The only extra buttons are volume controls and LED light on/off.

Quality keyboard that does its job well.

By

Comments about Saitek Gamer's Keyboard:

I'll be honest with you and tell you that I have had the Saitek Gamer's Keyboard for around five years now. I've had plenty of opportunities to change up, even go after the G15 when it first came out, but I always go back to this one.

I've put some pretty heavy use on this thing over the years, and amazingly, it still works flawlessly. There are three levels of backlighting behind the keys: bright, low, and off. It only comes in blue, but it's good enough. The only complaint I've ever had is that it still can be difficult to read with all other lights off. The newer models have each key backlit, but this is more of a universal light.

The command pad I guess you could say was the predecessor of modern macro keys. It is fully programmable, though I didn't use it too much. It's handy when needed though, and definitely gets the job done. The included software isn't anything impressive either, but it works.
