Comments about Safety 1st Sweet Wonder Play Yard - Cubes:
I bought this Safety 1st play yard for my son when he was an infant. He had grown too large to sleep in his infant car seat carrier during overnight visits to the grandparents' homes. This play yard was the lowest priced of all other play yards in all 3 of the stores I shopped. It came with all the additional features I needed and has a nice, neutral color scheme. My son was not too fond of the hanging attachment above the play yard, so we did not use this accessory. I did find it a bit hard to use the first time, but once I got the hang of how to put it up and take it down, it was something that I could do in less than 2 minutes. My husband always seemed to have more trouble putting up this play yard than I did. My son loved to play inside during the daytime. It was the perfect place for me to put him when I needed to use the bathroom, get the mail, or vacuum. He was not able to climb out on his own, so I felt that he was perfectly safe when using this play yard. A few times I tried to put him in the play yard for naps, but he did not do well in this situation. The first time that I brought it to my Grandmother's house for a weekend visit, he did not want to sleep in the play yard, but was comfortable and fell asleep eventually. My son is tall and average weight for his age, but it felt that the play yard was much too small for his stature. I was unable to find any play yards larger in size. It appears they are all one standard size. I wish one of the companies that makes baby products would make a larger model of play yard for bigger babies. The only negative aspect of this Safety 1st play yard, is that it is a little bit difficult to pack up into the carrier. I have virtually no trouble taking the play yard down and folding it up, but putting it into the carrier portion was another story. If you are wanting to pack the accessories, it is very hard to fit them along with the play yard into the carrier case. It will fit, but you have to make sure it is folded up just right, and everything is properly positioned in order to fit. Based on price and functionality, I would recommend this product to anyone who is interested in purchasing a play yard for their small child.
