I had never had a baby video monitor before and never really saw a need for one.  I actually only purchased it because it was such a great deal (you would not believe me if I told you.)  Actually because of the price I paid I was expecting a product that a company was trying to unload, but I figured I was not out much so why not.  I have a 19 month old who I know is not sleeping when he should, but I do not want to sneak in his room and risk him actually being a sleep and me waking him up.  This was the perfect solution!  Now I can sneak and peek and see him stirring and lay him back down before all playing chaos happens and   nap time is gone.  I was really surprised by the picture quality.  It is clearer than I expected and even at night I can see all that goes on...like magic.  It also has a nice little feature that shows the temperature which is really nice.  The only thing that I would say is a downside is that the battery does not last too long if the screen is left going (there is an option to turn the picture off.)  It does plug in which is really nice.  Honestly, I wish I would have got this a long time ago.  Love it!

There are a lot of really great things about this monitor. First it is super compact and thin. It's easy to carry around and has a the ability to be attached to your pants or pocket or something. The screen is a good size and the quality of the video is super clear (I can tell if my babies eyes are open or closed which is very useful) The video quality is the same during the day and night as well, so the night vision feature works great. The only difference is that you can see colors during the day and at night it just sort of looks black and white. Another plus is that you can turn the brightness of the screen up or down to save on battery, which is nice. The sound quality for the monitor is excellent. We have a sound machine in our sons room and though you can tell its running it's not so loud and you can hear your baby as soon as they start to whimper or cry. The rechargeable battery is probably one of my favorite features of this monitor too.  Some of the things I do not like is that the monitor does not tell you how much battery life the unit has left. It just goes from being charged, to beeping at you and telling you it is dieing. Also the volume control button makes loud beeping noises every time you adjust the volume. Other than these two things, the monitor has exceeded my expectations.
