When it comes to keeping babies and toddlers safe, Safety 1st is a name many parents recognize and they are also one of the few companies to produce an oven latch, the Safety 1st Oven Front Lock. This lock is designed to fit on the front door of you oven so that little hands can’t open it and get burned. It is attached to the front door with a Scotch brand adhesive and works with a sliding mechanism. Most our reviewers found it reasonable effective, however think that better could be made, but aren’t. RachealsView says, “This lock is effective, but it can be difficult to operate, especially if you've been cooking and have slippery hands.” However other parents found that the adhesive melted off or that their child was able to tear the lock off.
