Child proof? HUH!!!!

I have tried the Saftey First Outlet Plugs with both of my children and they just don't work. Both of my children were able to pull them out. It seems like they attract the childrens attention more then diverting them from the danger. When my 3 yr old daughter was younger( I mean months old) she was able to pull them out with ease. And now my 1yr old son has been pulling them out since he started crawling. Whats the deal? I thought they were supposed to be child proof. There not even baby proof!!! I have had to resort to rearranging the furniture to cover the outlets and you can only imagine what... review »

I bought these when my son turned a year old. He could pull them out and so could our six month old twin cousins who thought they made great chew toys. No child swallowed them thankfully and we got them put up quickly. I myself could not get them out though, at least not without hurting my fingers and nails. They were cheap and you get alot for that price so I suppose you get what you pay for. I would not recommend them though, especially if you have toddlers around. My son thought they were great for throwing and they were interesting to color on but that's about all the good uses we found for... review »

These don't do the job...

I bought these when my daughter started crawling around. Soon after that she discovered the outlets and started pulling at them. To my astonishment, she pulled them right out! They are larger than most and that makes them easy to pull out. I have some others, I think from IKEA that are flat and she can't get out.

these are not a very good product for when children are crawling around and exploring they come out way to easy and are a major chocking harzard all a child has to do is barely pull them and out they come they should be flatter so they are flush against the outlet so that little fingers can't get ahold of them
