I picked this pail for a couple reasons: it was CHEAP and also I liked the very plain and simple design.  I don't like cartoons and such all over everything.  Well, I got this pail for my oldest, before she was born, and that was four years ago.  I am still using it for my third daughter and it has held up very well. I have used it for both disposable and cloth diapers, and I find that the stink is very well contained- no need to buy an expensive system with refills.  The plastic, both on the lid and the actual can is pretty heavy duty and sturdy- despite my children climbing all over it, it has not broken yet. I also like how easy the pail is to clean out, there are not a ton of nooks and crannies- I can juse wipe it down.  I don't use the deodorizing part to it, I find that part falls off so I just removed it.  But I suppose it is a nice feature if you need it. The size is great too- easy to tuck away in a closet.

safety first diaper pail is good, its less expensive when compared to others. leg operated , so very convenient. its good for disposing baby infant diapers and toddler diapers. Safety first is a good brand , i have used other products of this brand too. its a good one.

This Safety 1st Diaper pail has really impressed me! I am so glad I bought it for many reasons. One reason is that it is foot operated, so a diaper can be dropped in easily by flipping the lid up with the foot. The lid then closes automatically. The second reason is that no special bags are required. Some diaper pails are designed so that only their bags will fit, forcing the purchaser to buy those brand name bags. This diaper pail is designed to be used with any bag, including ones from a grocery trip. The third reason I'm impressed is that this diaper pail came complete with a deodorizing disk in the lid to minimize the smell and it works! I use this diaper pail for cloth diapers and washcloth wipes (I use a washcloth and warm water and put those wipes through the washing machine with the cloth diapers) and it works wonderfully! This is a versatile pail, able to be used for disposable or cloth diapers!

Bought this diaper pail at a reasonable price. No special bags just put a garbage bag in and you are good to go. Lid closes tight on the top to keep the smell in. Just press the foot petal to open it to put the mess in the pail. It does smell a little when it is open with a lot of smelly ones in it, but it goes away when it is closed and you can't smell it when it is closed. I like to put a couple of garbage bags in it at a time and when it gets full just pull it out and tie it up and put it with the rest of the garbage. I like the fact that you don't have to buy special bags for it. My regular tall kitchen garbage bags fit perfect in it. Forget all the other contraptions this is all you need for a smelly diaper.
