When I used the safety first baby monitori was surprised at how bad the sound came through. It isn't clear and it seemed shoppy. I was afraid I woyldnt hear my son if he were just fussing. I probably would if he had a loud cry but not a low toned sound. I had to careful and mindful of where I was going in the house but to the monitior cutting out when I went too far.

When i found out that i was pregnant with my 3 year old i was given the safety 1st baby monitor and the thing that i like most is that i can go outside while the girls are sleeping and not have to worry about them because i can hear what is going on in their room and can tell if one is awake.  My life isn't stuck in the house just because they are sleeping.

To much static to hear baby.

I have been using this monitor for about a year to listen to our grandchild.  I did not realize that some monitors were quiet enough to hear the baby sleeping until I visited a friend and heard her baby breathing over the monitor.  I am planning on purchasing another monitor for the next grandchild.  This monitor is better than nothing.

My son was born 5 weeks early and although he was perfectly healthy, I was a nervous wreck worrying over him.  He did have reflux and sometimes would gag in his sleep.  Having the movement sensored monitor allowed me to at least sleep a little more sound than I did the first week after he was born when I didn't have it.

I purchased these baby monitors at a very god price. I like that you can put a battery in and take with you anywhere or leave stationary plugged in. They work very well. Only drawback is once in a while you can pick up interference from other monitors. I would defiantley reccomend this product to parents.

This product is horrible. The batteries die right away and all you can hear is white noise 24/7. I guess you get what you pay for!

"It's very sensitive. No static with this product. The clip is not secure so it might fall off when you bend or sit. If you walk into the room with the hand held you must lower the volume so you won't get any feed back. That's all!"

Safety 1st Baby monitors are the best

Safety 1st monitors pick up the slightest of sounds.  I can go about my house work and feel confident about my baby sleeping in his room and not having to stop and check on him all of the time.  We live in a bi-level, so I am always going up and down the stairs doing laundry or other chres, I don't have time to sit by my baby's door to isten for him to wake up from his nap.  The safety 1st monitor gives me freedom to roam around my house,  The belt clip makes it conveinient to carry with me at all times or I can plug it in when I am on my computor or in another stationary place.

Like the other reviewer said; I can hear my baby breathe. That's how great this monitor is. I was very nervous about putting my baby to sleep in his crib for the first time. We had him in a bassinet in our room for 6 weeks. I plugged the monitor in his room and listened for about 5 minutes very closely and I could hear everything in the room. If he moved his foot or even spit up I heard it. It's actually so good that you do hear sounds outside the room like the tv in the livingroom. It's very sensitive. I have never gotten interference with this monitor like you can with others. Never had static.... read full review »

The Safety 1st Baby Monitor does the job for less money.  As a first-time mom with a three week old baby girl, it is important that her feedings during the night happen regularly.  However, if she wakes up early, the monitor allows me to hear her.  This monitor is a good buy for any parent.
