About a year and a half ago I was making one of my frequent forays into Bed Bath & Beyond and had worked my way into the Cutlery section. I wasn't specifically looking for cutlery mind you, but here I was. I was looking at a pair of Santuko knives when out of the corner of my eye I spotted this beautiful cutlery set by Sabatier.

review »I purchased this set from SmartBargains.com, thinking I had got myself a sweet bargain. After all, I thought these were French Sabatier knives for under $100. My mistake was in not using them for a few weeks. I agree, they do look good sitting there in that block of blonde wood. However, once you put them to real work and wash them you will discover the awful secret of this set. And then it will be too late to return them!
