Pros

Helpful Professors, Nice Campus, Great academics, Great research opportunities

I went to UB and LOVED it. Not only did I get a great education that allowed me to take classes outside my major, just so I could learn, but it also allowed me the freedom to choose my own destiny. Cliche, I know. But the school is so huge, that you really do have to do a lot of things for yourself! No one to hold your hand, but also a lot of support and guidence from the staff and faculty. Dispite the overwhelming size of the school, most of my classes were very small. 20 students or less. The only huge classes I had employed several teaching assistants that made themselves very available to students, as did the professors.

Aside from the academic aspect, the medical facilities were great. The housing options, both for dorms and on-campus apartments were very accomodating, and I made some of the best friends of my life here. I still keep in touch with old professors as well, just to give them updates on how well I am doing!

Everyone should have a college experience like I had at UB!
