Originally my credit card was issued by Washington Mutual.  After a year or two I received notice that on a certain date SST Inc. would be handling my account. I always paid on time and always paid more than I was suppose to, so I wonder why the change.   All my bills were setup so that my bank would pay them monthy and I continued to do so with SST Inc.  I open my bill one month and realized they had charged me a 39.00 late fee, I called and told them that was impossible because my bank aways send out my payments and I've never been late.  Unable to reason with them, I call the bank and they got in touch with the company.  SST Inc. insisted that the payment was late and refuse to credit me the 39.00.  My bank credit my account for it and I had them to immediately sent it to SST Inc.. The next month I received my bill I noticed that my interest rate had increased from like 9.99% to 29.99% if I'm not mistake (I'm pretty sure those were the precentages). I called and asked why and they said it was because of the late payment they received the last month, I told them to look over my payment record and it would show that I've never been late on a payment with Washington Mutual or them.  Well, I nor my bank could get them to reverse the interest rate.  I just paid the 1,400 plus dollars balance on my account and closed it that same month.
