SOYJOY - Soy Snack Bars with Dried Fruit —

I'm a busy person and I seldom sit down for a full breakfast during the week before work. That leaves me with something from the vending machine or a snack/cereal bar that I bring from home. When I saw the new SoyJoy bars in the supermarket, I decided to try this for a breakfast option. How did I like SoyJoy? Let's just say that I'm glad I don't have a case of these, ok?

The LowDown on SoyJoy

SoyJoy bars contain natural flavor from fruits and soy. It's a healthy snack and if you like soy products, you will probably like this bar. I have seen a lot of advertising for SoyJoy in the past few weeks and the commercials all make this sound like a flavorful snack. I didn't find that so!

SoyJoy bars are small. If you are a guy with a big appetite, this will fill you up about like 2 or 3 cookies will. The bar weighs 1.06 ounces. It is a thin rectangular size (about 3.5 inches long) and looks like a dried up fruit cake when you take it out of the wrapper. Seriously! The only thing I can say about that is that most fruit cake has more flavor--and I'm not a big fruit cake fan.

My ViewPoint

I purchased the Raisin Almond flavor SoyJoy thinking this would have a decent flavor. It is very bland and not much flavor at all. For the amount of calories (especially calories from fat), I would recommend a good cereal bar. It is more filling, tastes better and just as healthy for you. At over a buck a bar, you will get a lot more satisfaction from a cereal bar or even a candy bar. This may be a healthy snack, but it is not one that I am going to recommend. I prefer a little flavor with my snacks and I'm going to give SoyJoy 2 VP's.

Ugh, I didn't like these at all. I don't like any Soy Joy products. They have a really odd taste.

Yep. For sure. Yuck. Lots of calories too and very small. Not a thumbs up. Nice review.

You pretty much covered my thoughts. I had one that was good, then another flavor that was so-so. Overall even the one that was good wasn't that great.

I like the South Beach Diet Peanut Butter Bars. Mmm, I probably wouldn't like the Soy Joy either. Thanks
