SENTRYHC GOODbehavior pheromone collar —

I have two cats that are exhibiting bad behaviors. I have a two year old male that marks the walls and furniture and a 2 year old female that urinates by the exterior doors and hides for most of the day. The female is very anxious in general. They both get along well with my other cats but the male is clearly trying to mark his territory. He is also very aloof and disinterested in being petted or having attention from humans. I have had the male on anxiety medication which has reduced the marking by at least half. I also have feliway pheromone diffusers in the house. I have also tried just about every other product or tip that I have found.

I just found the GOODbehavior cat collar yesterday and am already pleased with the results. It is a rubber adjustable collar that emits pheromones for 30 days that is suposed to have a calming effect on the cat.

After about 12 hours of wearing it the male cat has become very affectionate and playful and has been purring a lot. The female cat seems to be exploring more around the house instead of just hiding under the bed as usual. Although it's too early to tell whether it will help with the spraying/urinating it is clear that they SEEM happier which I hope will help to eliminate their bed behaviors.

If the pheromone diffusers seem to work for your cat this is definitely a better alternative. The diffuser is only good for 1 room and costs $35-50 whereas the collar goes where your cat goes and it is only $15.

One drawback for me (although it won't stop me from using it) is that the collar is lavender/chamomile scented which smells nice but I seem to be allergic to.

Overall the collar is definitely worth a try. What do you have to lose beside your cat's bad habits?

Update: One of my cats got a rash on her neck from the collar after wearing it for a few days. The other cat is wearing it fine and it seems to be helping make him more affectionate. I don't think it is helping him stop spraying though, when I had him off his anxiety medication for 2 days to test the collar he started spraying again. I will still leave it on him though because he seems happier with it on

I was so surprised at the difference in my cat's behavior. My parents came to stay with their small dogs. My balinese is terrified of the dogs/strangers. I had a very sleepless night, dealing with his crying and wanting to go outside. The next day I bought the collar and tried it on him...it was like a whole new cat had emerged! I was surprised. He was not running away from the dogs; in fact, he hissed at the dog, but stood his ground! He also let my step-mom pet him! Huge deal! We rewarded him with lots of caresses and treats! :)
This will be the end of the first 24 hour period, so I can't report on whether he has allergic reactions, but we all like the smell of the collar! WE're calling it his courage collar and I want to stock up on them!

The collar seems to work, but I had to take it off, because the scent made me sick. Wouldn't it be possible to make this collar without the scent? I believe pheromones are not able to be smelled by humans.
