Why Ziploc?
I buy my meat in bulk and also my Ziploc 1 Gallon Freezer Bags, after all it's only fitting for saving me money. The double zipper lock on the bags is supposed to be sufficient but I go one step further. When it comes to storing food products for an extended period of time, I don't think that there is a better brand out there than Ziploc. They produce high quality storage tools that help to keep your food fresher for a longer period of time. It is easy to think that they are all made the same, but I think that Ziploc works better, and tends to last a lot longer than some other brands I have used. We are always on the go so Ziplock bags are a must in our house. We buy in bulk, come home divide and conquer by freezing in portion sizes our meats and other freezable items in Johnson's handy Ziplock bags. They come in a variety of helpful sizes.
We have found that they are helpful for ice cream. Once ice cream containers are opened, our freezer does a job with freezer burn. Once sealed in a zip lock - wow! It stays creamy and soft and most of all scoop-able!

I love the ziploc one gallon freezer bags i have a lot of kids and i have a lot of freezer bags in my freezer, i only buy ziploc because of all the brands i have tried i have found them to be the best, i buy big packs of ground beef, chicken, pork chops...etc... and i break them into my family size meals and everything goes into ziploc freezer bags, Ziploc freezer bags are very dependable they turn green when you close them so you know they are closed and you dont get freezer burn, i also store leftovers in them i buy alot of them because i use them for everything.
One Gallon ZIPLOK Freezer Bags with double seal. I use them to ice my sore knees but when the ice melts the bags leak most of the water out. This seems to be a recent phenomena - don't recall it from years ago. And this is leaking from the bottom - I have checked this with the bags totally upright (seal at the top)
Ziploc freezer bags are great! I have not had anything get freezer burnt with these! I buy meat in bulk and split it up in meals and freeze it in these.
