I've had SBC yahoo DSL for about two years now.  Lately, like in the past couple of months, it's taking for EVER to get connected.  I'll walk away to do something else while it struggles to connect, and ten minutes later still nothing.  I have to disconnect than try again, sometimes two or three times before it finally works. I'm a bit disappointed that I can get a faster connection through dial up.  I hesitate to call customer support because I can't hear well over the phone and foreign accents are really hard for me to understand.  If I knew of a better service, I would consider changing.

Hey Rockie, You'd better get your system checked out or try "System Restore". I have AT&T DSL and have NEVER had a problem with getting connected.

My internet has been losing connection for the past few months as well. The customer service reps are consistantly rude, and unhelpful. Hope your internet gets better. Good Luck!

Same problems for me. Have found out that Yahoo has upped their requirements for fast running to 512 Ram vs. the old 256 requirement. I have dropped Yahoo as a my browser and switch to Mozilla Firefox (free) and find my connection times back to what they should be. However, Yahoo is a PITA to deal with.
