What has SBC done to Yahoo and why??

I refuse to use the SBC Yahoo browser any more. Some of the features are nice, such as ease of changing which user is signed in. However, the limitations are just too much for me. I like to download toolbars from other sites. SBC blocks these, which infuriates me. There are certain sites I can't even reach from SBC Yahoo. For instance, it won't let me use Goodsearch.com. My only guess is they want you to use their search engine?
I find it quite irritating.
