My kids got the Ryan's Room "Home Is Where the Heart Is" dollhouse for Christmas this year, and it is mighty impressive. Unlike most dollhouses on the market, which are made out of plastic, Ryan's Room dollhouses are made entirely of wood, and their accessories are also made of natural materials. Perfect for kids who are being schooled Montessori-style.
Designed to allow a child to imagine, create and bring to life their very own world, Ryan's Room dollhouses feature durable construction and are easy to assemble. "Home is Where the Heart Is," a three-level structure, is their largest model, retailing for around $120. Shop around, and you can find it for around $90 or less.
In addition to doll families of several different ethnicities, there are dozens of add-ons and accessories, such as the "Think Pink" Girl's Room, the "Cooking Up Fun" kitchen set, and the "Park and Play" garage with a garage door that lifts up and slide back for easy open-and-shut action. It's pretty cool stuff.
My kids love it, and my wife wishes we could live there!
