Can really transform a cast-off into a thing of beauty

a DIYer, certain I can do it better, not the neatest worker, prone to unplanned work stoppages

A couple of years ago the beautiful Mrs. Xeno came to the conclusion that she really needed a wrought iron tea cart for our screened in lanai. I mean it was simply a must have. And as luck would have it she just happened to have a catalog with a picture of one that would fit the bill perfectly. The problem was the price tag. This was a great product and so easy to do-we made a wine cellar and wanted the ceiling to look like an old wine barrel, the ceiling was rounded with pine tongue and groove planking and then we had metal straps 2 inches wide which we painted with the hammered copper spray paint, after it was dry we ragged on black glaze to make it look like it was rusted and weathered. We attached the strips to the ceiling with square screws-looked like it had been there for years and aged naturally. — This was an easy to use product and the finish turned out exactly like the can said it would. When it comes to painting Ive had lots of experience and part of that experience is knowing which paint to buy. Spray paints are the hardest to decide on, because of all the brands and types, textures, well you know what i mean, but I have done my research and when it comes to quality finish, durability, color and texture choices no mess, and of course cost, Rust Oleum paint is my first and only choice.
