The is great for straightening hair in a hurry or over a long period of time. It heats up to the desired temperature in less than 2 minutes. While the plates are become very hot, it does not "burn" ones hair. The ceramic plates my get a little dirty, if your hair tends to be greasy. Effective for various types of hair.

There has never been a straightener that could make my extremely curly hair pin straight, until I got my hands on this Rusk Flat Iron. There are plenty of heat options, and it goes high enough to tame even the toughest head of hair. I love the great design of it, and mine came with a complimentary matching bag to put it in when my flat iron is too hot to put away. Mine lasted a great 3 years until one day it just wouldn't turn on. But I used this thing on a daily basis, multiple times a day with thick and curly hair. Not only does it give me the desired look, it's slim enough that you can easily make your hair have great flipped out ends, or flip them under...or both! There is no need to use it on the 450 degree setting, but incase you do have a stubborn section of hair, it'll definitely get the job done. It is a little pricey, but will save you lots of time and frustration in the mornings if you're on a tight time frame!

Purchasing a Rusk flat iron was the best investment I have made in regards to a beauty item. Like so many others, I have wavy hair and desperately want to have pretty, straight hair. My rusk flat iron heats up quickly and gets the job done fast! Prior to owning a Rusk, I used to purchase whatever flat iron was for sale at the local drug store. I found that I had to buy a new flat iron every month or two because they would quickly lose the ability to effectively straighten my hair. My hair dresser recommended the rusk flat iron and I am so happy with my purchase! I have had the same rusk flat iron for almost 2 years now and it still works like it is brand new. It has multiple temperature settings which I love! I can run the rusk flat iron through my hair one time and have that portion of my hair straight without having to run the iron back through it. Styling my hair no longer requires any time from me in the morning. I am a busy mom and usually only get 5 minutes in the morning to devote to any beauty ritual. All I need to do is spend a minute running the Rusk flat iron through my hair in the morning and I am good to go for the day. I would recommend this tool for any person that doesn't have a lot of time to devote to styling their hair. Great tool!

    I got this straightener last year for christmas and its great. Ive been using it for a year now and Im not having any problems with it! ;)   i have very difficult hair. It's wazy, frizzy, thick, and long so its hard to find a straightner that wouldnt take me hours to use! This one only takes abut 20 mintes to get my hair stick straight!!! Its really great and has a fairly long cord which is convienant...     .It heats up really fast and it has about 6 different heat settings! I would recommend  for girls who have really thick hair like me to use the next to highest heat setting and for thinner hair, use a lower setting...!    The only bad thing about this straightener is that it ives me alot of split ends if im not carefull..;(..Even though im happy with this straightener I still think that chis are better and im saving up for one right now...     This flat iron is really cute looking and it comes with a really cute metallic pink case!
