Mike Ditka's Run Away Beach Resort was our choice of accommodations for our 4 night stay in the Kissimmee/ Orlando area. The place was clean, well maintained and centrally located. This Condo unit was well equipped with a full kitchen which makes the place immeasurably more comfortable as well as economical.... read full review »

This hotel was in a great location....five minutes to disney, and international dr. Although there were hidden fees in the hotel. I have never been to a hotel where they did not clean the room every day. They did not, and because of that I would not stay at The Runaway Beach Club, nor would I reccomend... read full review »

First of all, I want to say that our condo was gorgeous. It was spacious, had surround sound and TV's in the bedroom and living room, the kitchen was great, the bathroom large. The hot tub was blocked off because they are doing construction. The basketball court had a sign on it telling us it was closed, yet we saw several employees using it. There was no shuttle service to Disney, or anywhere for that matter. When I got to the airport, I called to inquire as to when we could check in. I was told check in was at 3pm. I asked if I could check in early and was told that I might be able to, but... read full review »

I reserved a 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms unit. This is a vacation rental property that works out nightly rentals. The units are very spacious, on two levels, nicely decorated with a gourmet kitchen (Granite countertops; dinnerware and silverware included). Units have clean washer and dryer. There are two pools, one for adults and for the children, and a nice hot tub, and a half basketball court. Location is also very convenient, close to highways. A few drawbacks: 1. there was no room housekeeping and when we asked for it, it was denied it. If we wanted the maid service we had to pay $21... read full review »

The accommodations are wonderful for a family on vacation. The room was in prestine condition. There was appliance and every gadjet you might need in a kitchen. I loved that there was a television in the living area and bedroom, no reason to fight about what to watch. The living area had a DVD player and the bedroom was equiped with a CD player/radio/alarm clock. All of the furnitures appeared to be new. The kingsize bed was very comfortable, I slept well. The community is gated, you must swipe your room key card to drive into the resort after 9PM. My son absolutely loved the indoor air... read full review »

I read the reviews before selecting Runaway Beach Club, all of them saying it was beautiful. I was still shocked at just how nice it was. The inside of the condo could be in the pages of a home decorating magazine - everything new, stylish, beautiful. I loved having a washer and dryer. It was so nice to come home from vacation with all clean clothes, and not stacks of laundry to do. The grounds were also beautiful. I tooks some great pictures of my family all around the beautiful landscaping. My kids loved the pool(s). The only complaint I have is that, with the exception... read full review »

Everything you could ask for if you are looking for a home away from home! Full Kitchen with dishwasher, Living Room (with 2 hide-a-bed couches), Washer/Drier, 2 large bedrooms (one with king bed, one with double bed and twin bed), large walk-in closets, master bedroom had a safe for you personal use, 2 large bathrooms. This is a gated community with an adult pool and a children's pool. There is a man made lake in the middle of the community. Beautifully manicured lawns. Very clean surroundings. We will definately stay at the Runaway Beach Resort again. I was traveling with a 4 year... read full review »

This was our first time staying at the Runaway Resort, but already know that it's where we'll be staying on our next Orlando trip. We had a one bedroom suite, which was like having a one bedroom condo. Full kitchen was great to have, and having separate bedroom was nice so our one year old could sleep out in the common area. Didn't have much interaction with staff, but all were friendly when we did see them. Pool area is nice, one more for kids and one more for adults. Located right near a SuperWalmart which made eating some meals in our room a lot easier and saved us some money. Only complaint... read full review »

My family and I stayed in a one bedroom suite at The Runaway Beach Club Resort and were very suprised to learn that it is not just an average hotel room. It was a condo style setup with every amenity provided, i.e. full kitchen with utensils, washer & dryer, towels, safe deposit box, and plenty of sleeping room (king bed + 2 pull out couches). There are a variety of room setups to suit any size family (1,2, or 3 bedrooms). It was very clean (recently remodeld) with a nice beach house atmosphere. The only drawback was that the pool was not heated and was a little on the cold side, but they do... read full review »

The apartment was perfect! The rooms were big, both with a TV! The bathrooms were great too. The kitchen was amazing and with all the equipment you need (dishwasher included!). The location was very good (close to Walt Disney and Universal parks and 2 minutes from Wal-Mart!). You can take the shuttle to the parks in the hotel next to the resort. There is a big outlet close to the resort - 15 minutes walking. The only less positive aspect was the staff: they were not very helpful in giving us information about the transports for the parks and, in general terms, they were not very nice. We asked... read full review »

After being in a traditional hotel room with a sick family this hotel provided us with room to spread out and a bedroom where my wife and I could get some privacy from the kids who slept on one of two pull out sofa beds. The pool and workout room with basketball court are ok, but we were there to spend our time at the theme parks so we really did not spend any time enjoying the amenities. My only complaint was a $5 resort fee that was not included in the fees and taxes. The check-in person said the fee was to pay for extra towels and the upkeep of the resort, at which I asked wasn't that... read full review »

I called up the hotel for directions and came across somebody at the counter who didn't know the way to the location from the main road. He told me that it could be either to the left or right at every intersection. If I got lost I was to call back, I got lost and called back... NO ANSWER. After calling three more times I finally found my way. When I asked the receptionist why he didn't answer the phone... he told me he was busy. The kid was leaning back on a chair eating potatoe chips with nobody else in the lobby. Finally when I got to the hotel room I saw this mishap as being worth my wild.... read full review »

I always like to stay away from all the activity on vacation so I have a place to rest. The Runaway Beach Club was perfect. Two huge bedrooms, two full baths, a great kitchen with all the utensils and a big living room with two couches and a big tv.It was spotless and we all had plenty of room. We had breakfast food and snacks so we could eat early and do a little Disney before the crowds. It was no more than a 10 minute drive to any of the Disney Parks and the front desk gave us written directions. The only problem we encountered was with the wireless internet. It wasn't working, then it was,... read full review »

The Runaway Beach Club was a great place to stay and we would definitely recommend it to our friends. Having the washer and dryer in the unit is great as you can then limit the amount of clothes you need to pack. The kitchen was also a great amenity. Walmart with full grocery store is very close by. We found our trip became even more enjoyable though when we rented a car and could get around on our own schedule. Taxi costs do add up very quickly, but renting the car was quite inexpensive and driving there is quite easy. Everyone was great about giving directions to restaurants, attractions,... read full review »

This condo was very spacious. The rooms were very large and the beds were very comfortable, lots of closet space as well. This place had all the amenities of home. We traveled with four adults. We each had our own bathrooms and shower. There was plenty of room for the four of us. The pool was great and will even be better once it is remodeled. It was close to everything. We liked the location because it is in the center of everything. We go for Spring Training and the facility is nearby. There are lots of eating places nearby as well. The staff were very accomodating, allowing... read full review »

The Runaway Beach Resort Hotel was more than I could hope for for the money. In essence these are luxury condos built for families. The unit we had was the middle sized one with a living room, complete kitchen two bedrooms, two baths, and garage parking with security system, all in a gated community with pass card access. There is around the clock security within the complex using guards with golf carts which circulate at all hours through the parking areas. The area is very upscale, and the units are less than a year old.We only stayed for two days, but I would come back for a week or two next time.... read full review »
