Rubbermaid Hip Hugger Laundry Basket —

I am part of a family of four that generates more laundry than I can keep up with.  I have had many laundry baskets of all shapes, sizes and materials.  Most of them broke, were too small to handle my laundry and the others would snag my clothes (wicker one).  I finally decided to go out and buy a good quality laundry basket that would last and be comfortable for me to carry down and up two flights of stairs.  I purchased the Rubbermaid Hip Hugger Laundry Basket for $9.99 which was a bit pricey for me but in the end, well worth the money spent.

The Facts

  • Three sturdy grab-through handles for easy 1 or 2-handed lifting
  • Curved design rests on hip for comfortable one-handed carrying
  • Heavy-duty construction and smooth finish prevent snagging delicate items
  • Measures 25.75" x 17" x 9.5"

My Experience

I absolutely love this hip hugger laundry basket because not only is it big and sturdy enough for me to overfill, it is easy to transport.  I am able to simply place the curved section on my hip and put my right hand on one of the handles and off we go.  I can't tell you how many times other baskets have simply cracked while I was carrying them or I would drop because I couldn't get a good enough grip. This has saved me from making several trips and also has minimized the back pain that I used to get. (OK, so I'm a bit out of shape)

My Final Viewpoint

The Rubbermaid Hip Hugger Laundry Basket is definitely deserving of a 5 star rating and I recommend it without a doubt.  This is a very durable product and will last for a very long time.  Mine has!

I had the big blue one but the handles snapped off after a few months, not comfortable to carry any longer.

I have the big blue one. I love it, but the white parts of the handles snapped off, but it still works! It is definitely durable!

I have the smaller one without the dip. I need to put that one to pasture and get this one.
