love to travel, seeker of fun and interesting places, a frequent traveler, expecting good, fair service
We were on Splendour in the Mediterranean. We had a wonderful time. The boat was ok. The colors are old. The materials used in decor seemed cheap. The pool was tiny. To counter, the service was pretty good. We felt that after having paid for the cruise and the upgraded room that the Royal Caribbean still tried to get as much money from you as they could... $20 for a small picture on formal night, expensive drinks, expensive tours and expensive transportation by bus to the towns at the ports. We felt a little ripped when we had to pay $16…

value conscious, cruise lover, adventurous, frequent-cruiser, love to travel, seeker of fun and interesting places, a frequent traveler, married
This is a great cruise for everyone. It is not a party ship for young (19-25 year olds) like the Carnival line. There are many families and couples who are just married. Every passenger we spoke with was educated, which made for a much better time. The excursions were fantastic. In Cozumel we did one excursion that included driving an ATV, snorkeling, seeing ruins, an crocodile preserve, and visiting a light house. We didn't have to choose just one activity! The boat itself was clean and the workers were incredibly nice. The waiters learned our preferences by the second day and we were…

Our trip was in late September 2006, a good time for the Mediterranean - after the worst of the summer heat is past. We sailed from Venice after two nights in a qualint B&B about 10 minutes from St. Mark's Square, which we found through Google™. The stops included Athens, Kusaqdasi (Ephesus), Iraklion (Crete) and Corfu. We did shore excursions at each port, and were able to see truly wondrous sites - the ruins of the Minoan culture, which blossomed in parallel to the Egyptians as trading competitors, The Parthnon, and, of course, the shopping sites (for her,…

The best part was the friendly staff, always gretting you in the hallways, or helping you get something. Everything was very planned out and well organized. The only complaint I have about my vacation is the food. When you go on a cruise ship, you expect the food to be top quality cuisine. Everything was in place with the service and menus, however the end product always seemed to be lacking in some way. It was still good food, just not to die for and probably not worth what we were paying.…

Each and every island has its own personality, countries also, love to see and meet people of the world. —…

I went on the Splendor of the Seas in June for a Meditteranean cruise. It was absolutely fabulous. We left out of Barcelona and visited Marseilles, Nice (Monaco), Florence, Rome, and Naples. The ports were fabulous with great excursions. WHen we finally had time on the ship we participated in everything. From karaoke, to the games. The Spa was heaven and the staff members delightful. I would love to go on this cruise again. …

This was a great cruise. If you are looking for fun take a cruise on Royal Carribean. We had a great time. The fun was great and the staff was wonderful. I plan on taking another trip this year. If you go twice, you get a gold card that takes money off your trip and gives you coupons for money off items you buy on the…
