love to travel, budget-conscious traveler, married, appreciative of good service, frequent-cruiser, seeker of fun and interesting places

    The shore excursions were terrific!

Our trip was in late September 2006, a good time for the Mediterranean - after the worst of the summer heat is past. We sailed from Venice after two nights in a qualint B&B about 10 minutes from St. Mark's Square, which we found through Google™. The stops included Athens, Kusaqdasi (Ephesus), Iraklion (Crete) and Corfu. We did shore excursions at each port, and were able to see truly wondrous sites - the ruins of the Minoan culture, which blossomed in parallel to the Egyptians as trading competitors, The Parthnon, and, of course, the shopping sites (for her, naturally).
