The Private Island, Coco Cay, Makes This The Best Cruise
Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas offers more for the money than most other cruise ships that sail out of Port Canaveral, Florida. Yes, it's true that most of these ships sail to the Bahamas and offer similar excursions and meals and entertainment. But RC outshines the other cruiselines by including a stop at their own private island called CoCo Cay. The day that is spent on this island is unbelievable. When most other cruiselines offer excursions to beaches or party boats and other activities for a fee, RC takes you to the island and provides a natural paradise for you and serves an incredible outdoor meal - and there is no extra charge for it.
I've been cruising at least once a year for the past 20 years. I've cruised on several different ships and cruislines. I can honestly say that this RC ship offers the best price for the most vacation. Most crusie ships offer the same things: too much food, pretty good stage shows, all-day activities, gambling, shopping, parties, expensive drinks, expensive excursions and a ridiculously high tipping charge for service at the end of your cruise. For 3 & 4 day cruises, some cruiselines actually waste a whole day at sea. RC has the lowest cruise prices. They offer the same stuff that any other ship offers. Their little jewel in the Bahamas, CoCo Cay, is the thing that puts them ahead of the other cruiselines. The place is awesome for relaxing, for snorkeling, for family activities and for enjoying the caribbean sun with sand under your feet instead of a ship deck.
I wrote to Royal Caribbean after my last cruise and asked if they would have a 3 or 4 day cruise that only went to CoCo Cay. I would prefer to do that than go back to Nassau and spend all of my money at the straw market and take pictures of the Atlantis hotel and get back to the ship.
For about $249 - $400, you get to be pampered and see the REAL Caribbean; not just shops and the inside of a ship all day. Give it a shot, you can't beat a deal like this.
