Getting to the Ship
We arrived at MIA having not pre-booked transportation to the cruise terminal. This wasn't a problem, because we easily located the RC people and paid them directly, and got on the bus. Looking back now after 3 other cruises, we really should just always pre-book cruise transportation from the terminal.
The Ship:
Navigator is a rather large ship. We considered it Las Vegas at Sea. It's flashy and bright colors, lots to see, hear, explore and eat. We were in our late 20s during this cruise,...
My cruise experience was mixed because I was sick on the cruise. :o( But the medical clinic was well equipped and the doctor and nurses were fabulous. Since the antibiotic I was given meant I had to stay out of the sun I spent a lot of time in the lounge, library, computer room, theatre, restaurant, on board shops, etc. and curtailed my off-shore trips. There was a lot to do and we relaxed and explored most of the on-board options. My only negative comment would be how limited the hours of operation were for the ice skating rink. It was never open when we wanted to go! Overall we had...
review »I have taken several cruises in my lifetime, it is the only way to go. I don't think I'll ever take just a normal by land vacation again.
I have traveled to Hawaii, the Caribbean islands, Jamaica, Cancun and a few more that I can not think of right now.
It is so exciting to see the other parts of our beautiful world. The best part of any cruise vacation is the fact that you get the royal treatment any place that you go. Royal treatment all the down from the Captain to the stewards. People on the islands are very warm and seem happy that you have come to visit them. The parties and entertainment...
review »this was my second cruise in 3 years with Royal Caribbean and both myself and my children (20 + 21) thought this was truly amazing. The food, room staff, room, decor, everything was just amazing. The ability to eat for a very reasonable price ($25/pp) in an elegant Italian Restaurant was amazing. We feel any other ship will just seem like a tug boat in comparison and don't know where we go from here to cruise. -- the best experience
The ship was fantastic - it was a floating resort. We had such a great time and didn't realize at times that we were floating in the ocean! The ports were lots of fun and it was nice to come back and relax at a bar or restaurant - or head down to the casino for some games. The ship was fun and the staff was very attentive and added to the entire experience. This was my first cruise and since then, I've taken 3 other cruises with Royal Caribbean - all great experiences and we're in the process of planning one more!
My husband and I love the RCL cruise line and the Navigator of the Seas ship was great. There was always plenty to do and so little time to fit everything in. We tried it all: rock climbing, mini golf, ice skating, and just lounging by the pool. We can't wait for out next RCL cruise. It's going to be a blast!
Considering this trip began as a family celebration, there was a strong negative bias from the start.
The staff made the trip enjoyable and comfortable from the word "go". The food was much better than I would expect from a kitchen cooking for an entire ship.
Some of the activities were a bit cheesy, but in all I would go back in a heartbeat.
