What I like about Royal Caribbean is their itineraries.  I like to pack as much in to my vacation for my buck.  Royal consistently visits one more port of call on the same length cruises than the other lines.  Thats one more place to visit that I don't get to if I choose another line.  Plus Royal has tons to do.  Especially Voyager and Freedom Class ships.  I love the ice skating rink - the ice show is absolutely fabulous.  Also Royal is very competitively price.  So why would I pay the same for less.  The food is good and the staff is nice.  I'm not sure I would cruise with anyone else.
