Royal Caribbean - Monarch of the Seas —
This is a relaxing and enjoyable cruise. San Diego and Catalina offer many fun activities for all ages. I'm not a big fan of Mexico, so I looked at Ensenada as a full day of rest and relaxation - really what the end of a vacation should be anyway. If you love Mexico, Ensenada will not disappoint. The ship is small enough that you don't need the entire cruise to master your way around the ship. That leaves you much more time for enjoying activities with new friends onboard. The dining experience is wonderful. There is enough variety on the menu and at the buffet to please anyone. Plus there is a pizza bar. The Viking Crown Lounge offers panaramic views. It is a great place to hang when the ship is leaving port. It is a little difficult to get to for the directionally challenged as you can only access it by using one set of elevators at one end of the ship. However, once you are there you quickly forget the extra effort required to arrive. The Production Show from the singers and dancers is extraordinary. You will leave wishing you could see them perform again. You would have a hard time finding a value this exceptional anywhere - transportation, lodging, entertainment and meals included. Don't miss it!
