Royal Caribbean - Monarch of the Seas —

We booked this cruise in California as a short getaway before visiting with friends.  Having cruised many times before, I had certain expectations.  Some of these were met and others were not.  The buffet restaurant near the pool had lots of stations and no direction.  I went to two or three stations only to find the same food at each one.

The ports on this trip (San Diego, Catalina Island & Ensenada) were very nice.  We are planning to visist San Diego again, we couldn't get enough.

For the price, this cruise wasn't bad.  I am willing to pay more though, to travel on our preferred cruise line, as the service there is exceptional.
