Royal Caribbean - Grandeur of the Seas —
Grandeur wasnt quite as grand as i thought it would be. This was our first experience on a cruise ship. While the ship was lovely, the service wasnt all that great. The crew members are constantly asking you if you want to buy a drink. I actually carried my own drink around so that they wouldnt ask me. The room service wasnt what i had thought it would be. I have read all these reviews that say how the crew member assigned to your room caters to you... i certainly didnt see it... did i have a bad room staff by chance? Basically, he came into the room and made the bed and gave us fresh towels everyday. Then would return in the evening to remove the decorative pillows from the bed. Other than that, he did nothing else. I have read alot of reviews where people have made mention of the room staff putting their stuff away and cleaning up the room. Ours did none of that. We never saw him but one time when he introduced himself on our arrival. The food was not very good. They made great efforts, but they seemed to have the same food all the time. They just dressed it up different each day. It was really boring after about the second day. This ship itself, was very nice even though it was said to be an older ship. It was very clean and well kept. The entertainment was acceptable... not great but ok... overall, i found it to be a relaxing cruise but i must admit, i got rather bored on the ship.... i had a great time once we got to our destination and i was able to get off the ship. in the future, i think i may prefer to just fly to a destination and get a hotel there rather than take another cruise. None the less, it was a nice experience.
