Background Information: We are an early thirties couple who have previously cruised on Carnival.

Embarkation: I thought it was a pretty smooth process, but there were long lines. We got to the port around 1ish and were onboard probably an hour later. Our room was already ready, so we dropped our stuff...

We recently took a four day/three night cruise on Enchantment and booked an outside view room.  We've cruised with RC before, and I found this ship much nicer and more updated than our first cruise with this line.  The room was a nice size (bathroom/shower small as usual), and the entertainment was...

A Great Cruise

This past May our family took a cruise on the Royal Caribbean's Enchantment of the Sea. We have tried other cruise lines in the past and Royal Caribbean stands out as the best.

The attention to detail of the crew, the cleanliness of the staterooms, the delicious food, the like-mindedness of most of the other people on the ship with us made it a pleasant and memorable time. Since our children are grown, it is hard to find time to vacation together and a cruise is the perfect vacation. There is something for everyone and it is fun to do a lot of the activities together. If...

This was our first cruise that we took.  It was wonderful.  The staff was friendly and energitic.  Always had something to do.  Not a boring moment.  The price was not expensive for the cruise and airfare.  I want to cruise on this ship again because they just remodeled it and I would like to see the improvements they made.

I've been on two cruises now, one on Royal Caribbean (someone else was buying) and one on Carnival (I had to be budget conscious).  When planning my third cruise, I looked at both lines again and once I realized the price difference between the two was minimal, I definitely narrowed my search within RC.  The food was amazing without being too pretentious, the servers were the warmest, friendliest servers I have ever encountered anywhere, our room steward was very concientious in anticipating our needs (I slept with my head at what would normally be the foot of the bed, and by the second day he... read full review »

In February - 12 of us - all girls - went on the Enchantment of the Seas to Grand Cayman & Jamaica. We had a great time. The activities were just ongoing! This was one of the easiest cruises getting on and off that I've ever been on. We did the helmet dive in Grand Cayman, which was one of the best things I think I have ever done, and in Jamaica we climbed Dunns River Falls, which was also exciting. One comment we all had was "Everyone was so friendly!" I would recommend this ship to anyone. Another thing I would recommend on a cruise is to have a day or two "at sea". You can really experience... read full review »

This was a wonderful ship, though it's not the biggest, nor does it have the most amenities. I think I would prefer a ship that had more to do on board. The shows and destinations were fantastic, though I was dissapointed at the ports when there were just touristy shops and not a lot of local cultural things to see/do. Royal Caribbean is definitly a fantastic cruise line and I recommend them, though not necissarily this cruise. I'd say either go with a ship full of more amenities, or spend more time in the ports and less time at sea.

I've gone on Royal Caribbean cruises quite a few times and i love them! The Enchantment of the Seas is the most recent we have gone on. it had recently been refurbished, and was very nice with great ports of call (Grand Cayman, Ochos Rios).  We especially loved the steakhouse where you pay 20 dollars a person for a WONDERFUL steak dinner, all u can eat, with great service and ambiance. The staff everywhere was very nice and efficient. There was plenty to do. Will definitely be going back.

Having been on 3 previous cruises I feel I'm giving an informed review, either the RC cruise line as a whole or this ship is drastically missing something BIG, customer service was scant or did not exist at all, food left something to be desired (imagine a filet magnon served as 2 slices!!!) room accomadations were as small AND DREARY as could be imagined and not very clean with a very old SAD 9 inch TV, cruise was VERY OVERPRICED, Carnival will put it to shame, stear away!
