My ears were hurting, and felt gloppy and clogged and inflamed, I thought it was an ear infection. I went to the doc, and she said they weren't infected, but asked me what I took for allergies. Nothing, I don't have them! I don't have a runny nose or sneezing or anything! Well, this looks like allergies to me, she says, and gave me claritin and generic flonase. I was feeling better in a few days. It's been almost 2 weeks now, I feel much better. The flonase stinks, like a shot of perfume, but is less noticeable every time I use it. It does run down the back of my throat, i just spit it out. It does seem to help clear things out in there! No other side effects, I take it in the morning and the claritin at night, I'm very happy with both!

**Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray **is a generic prescription sinus and allergy medicine prescribed for adults and children. Some nasal medicines can feel really harsh and even sometimes burn when you spray them up your nose. **Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray** is not one of them. For dry, inflamed and /or irritated nasal passages the spray can still seem uncomfortable but again not as harsh as some others. I haven't found any swelling or bleeding from this spray. In the form of a thicker liquid it doesn't tend to run back out leaving you with less medicine and less relief. **Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray **comes in a brown glass bottle but you can see themilky white medicine inside to tell how much is left inside the bottle. As far as sinus congestion relief, the results are almost instant. As an allergy medicine **Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray **does help alleviate and control some symptoms. My general opinion is that I am satisfied with this medicine and the results that come fro m its use.

My allergies were acting up, so I picked up some Fluticason Propionate Nasal Spray. Let me tell you, that stuff works wonders! My nose cleared up very quickly and within an hour I was able to smell again! I was also able to talk clearly. This nasal spray not only works, but it is very fast acting. I'm telling you my nose congestion cleared right up! A benefit of this nasal spray is that it is very easy to use. Just squirt some in the air to make sure the fluid comes out clear, then put on squirt in each nostril while sniffing the squirt in. I must warn you, it smells disgusting and it feels kind of weird in your nose, but it is definitely worth it. There are only a few cons with this product: it smells gross and the smell lingers for a little while, it is expensive if you don't have good insurance to cover the costs, and it is difficult to tell when to refill the bottle. Besides these few factors, I strongly recommend using it!

**Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray**, or generic Flonase, is a corticosteroidal ("steroid") nasal spray available by prescription. It can cut down on nasal inflammation by reducing swelling. **What I like about Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray:** - It costs less than the brand name Flonase. - It can relieve swelling in the nasal passages and make it easier to breathe. **What I don't like about Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray:** - Steroidal nasal sprays aren't designed for immediate relief, but I used to feel relief by the next day and tended to be most of the way clear within about three days. This type of nasal spray is designed to be used on a regular basis. If you've been on it for a long time and stop taking it, it might be a few days before the nasal congestion returns, which could give some people a false sense of being better. - My husband actually uses this but I used to use Flonase years ago until it made my nose bleed so bad it had to be cauterized. (Believe me, burning the blood vessels in the nose does not feel particularly great.) Every time he uses it, I can smell the spray and it makes me feel weird. He claims it has not smell, but I can tell every time he uses this spray. Ugh. - I would hesitate to use this nasal spray myself because of the problems I mentioned above, but my husband has tended to have less nasal congestion when he uses this. He has also had a few nosebleeds after using it for several weeks. My allergist recommended using a nasal lavage or neti pot and putting saline in it and mixing it with the Flonase (Fluticasone), but I decided I would do without. - Although it is generic, it is still not particularly cheap, and after being on steroidal nasal sprays, it tends to be difficult to go without. - It's hard to tell when the bottle is getting empty--you don't get much warning. It always looks like there is more in the bottle, but it won't spray after a certain point. It helps to put the date you started using it on the bottle because it does have metered sprays. - The thing that has made the biggest and most lasting difference in my nasal congestion and I believe my husband's nasal congestion is when we eat a gluten-free diet. It's not the easiest thing, but it sure beats nosebleeds and an expensive co-pay. **My Viewpoint:** **Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray** can work well for some people by decreasing swelling in the nasal passages. People who suffer from chronic rhinitis and allergies often suffer from difficulty breathing through the nose over and over again, and this nasal spray might help. After having severe nosebleeds and seeing my husband get some mild nosebleeds after using this drug, I personally shy away from it. My kids are on Nasonex and one is on Astelin, and those tend to work just as well without the nosebleeds and without the weird smell. Many people who have year-round allergies are often seeking lasting relief. I found significant relief after changing my diet and going gluten free. I used to get sinusitis, canker sores, have terrible gas, and regularly got stys on my eyes, just to mention a few symptoms. After going gluten free, I have enjoyed a drastic reduction in symptoms, so much to the point that I no longer take allergy shots and I do not take any allergy medications on a regular basis.

I'm allergic to things like cats, dogs, dust, pollen, mites, mold, etc.  I can't control the pollen, mites, mold, and dust, but I do have control over the animal factor.  My plan: well, at the moment, we have 7 cats and 6 dogs in the house, along with lots of dust, pollen, mites, and mold.  I guess you could say that I don't really have a plan other than to rely on allergy medications like *Fluticasone Propionate*. *Fluticasone Propionate* is the generic version of Flonase which is a synthetic corticosteroid designed to reduce inflammation causing sneezing, runny nose, stuffiness, and itchy nose).  This is not a fast-acting product and requires at least 12 hours and usually more in order to produce any noticeable improvement of symptoms.  I've had doctors suggest 2 "squirts" per nostril once a day and I've also had instructions to administer it twice a day.  With my allergy and congestion levels, I really do require a twice-per-day application during prime allergen seasons.  I keep using *Fluticasone Proprionate* because it works but I really don't enjoy the nasty taste that my mouth gets as it drips through my nose, down my throat, and into my mouth.  I also don't appreciate that it can really burn my nose and sometimes make it bleed after many days of repeated use.  As a generic, this Flonase alternative should be affordable for most people.  It certainly is effective, though it can be a bit harsh after prolonged use.  I don't use *Fluticasone Propionate* every single day of my life, but it definitely helps me to get through the rough days/weeks of high allergy season.  Recommended!
