Rowenta Ultra Steam Hand-held Steambrush with Storage Bag
I purchased this Rowents hand held clothes steamer a little over a year ago figuring it would be a handy dandy tool to have for items that were otherwise difficult to iron.
I have these beautiful sheer organic cotton curtains that tend to get a bit out of shape when ironed so I used the Rowenta steamer on them, following all directions carefully, giving it time to create plenty of steam. I hung the curtains so I'd have more leverage while brushing and steaming them in a downward motion, it took several passes to see any kind of results at best. It never quite took out the wrinkles and left the fabric wet and soggy, not smooth and crisp which is what I expected.
Though it's easy to fill & use and has a good brush and long enough cord to move about properly I just didn't like the results on any fabric I used it on. I did give it several tries thinking I was doing something wrong but no, it wasn't me it was the steamer. After a while it got spitty and would drip hot water, not good
I paid almost $50. plus tax for this item, I should have sent it back when I had the opportunity but unfortunately missed that boat. A neighbor wanted to borrow it to steam out her daughters prom dress, I discouraged it but she said she knew exactly how to use it so I let her borrow it and told her she could keep it if she wanted. She brought it back and sent the dress to the cleaners to be pressed properly.
I didn't have good results with this 'less than ultra" steamer but I can say that it is well made, light enough to hold and comes with a storage pouch.
