It's compact, it's reasonably powerful, and it gets the job done. I didn't buy this iron for traveling around the world, rather, I keep it for my dorm room. I don't use it that often, but it's great when I need it. I would say the pros are that despite being a smaller size, it can still do a great ironing job. I know that sometimes products will lose the most important feature once it's made into a travel edition. This has been good with interview clothes...haven't tried it on jeans or thicker fabrics though. It's also very easy to figure out--user friendly. It also fits anywhere and is pretty light weight! The cons...hmm the only thing I can think of is that it kinda steams a lot when ironing. Other than that, I can't give a fair critique, because I don't use it for its many uses. Hope this helps!

This Rowenta Latitude Compact Iron is perfect for dorm rooms, small apartments, and for use when you travel.  I brought this to college with me, and loved it.  It has a nice little resevoir for water that doesn't leak, it heats up quickly and evenly, glides nicely over fabrics, and most importantly, works well.  I really liked that the handle collapses for more compact storage, but doesn't feel flimsy when it's in the extended position.  I also really appreciated the length of the cord.  A lot of other compact irons have really short cords that have you ironing up against the wall or awkwardly on a counter.  This one is long enough to stretch across a room and even use an ironing board, if you wish.  The lightweight design is also great for people suffering from arthritis, carpal tunnel or similar afflictions that make wielding bulky irons impractical.  However, if you're looking for an heavy iron you can press on to make super-crisp seams, this iron isn't for you. The only thing I would change is that it would be nice to add a light or something to the iron to indicate when the iron is still hot.

I AM A QUILTER AND WHEN I GO TO CLASSES OR RETREATS I NEED A SMALLER IRON TO TAKE WITH ME. THE ROWENTA TRAVEL IRON GETS HOT VERY FAST,HAS A GREAT STEAM AND TAKES THE HEAVY USE THAT A QUILTER HAS TO DO. I HAVE HAD MINE FOR 5 YRS AND IT'S STILL GOING STRONG.
