Most HelpfulOkay, you heard about the demise of my Sunbeam Steam Master Iron, right? Well, I typically would not think about going to Bed Bath and Beyond to buy an iron but I got a $100 gift card for my birthday and didn't know what else I would use it on so I set off to get a new iron.
First of all, this isn't...

Most HelpfulAs a child, I loved ironing. I would starch all of my pants and shirts and would iron almost every night (for fun). Clearly, I had problems. My favorite 'departing for college' gift was an iron from my parents - just a nicer grade Black & Decker - nothing terribly fancy, but did the job and preformed...
review »Rowenta Professional and Advancer DZ9080 began as a brilliant design, hefty presser including a pinched tip for buttons and special pleats with ample steam vents to ease the work. Having paid my way through college by steam ironing the ROTC boys shirts and polishing their shoes for inspection, I qualify as a serious user of steam irons with VERY careful attention to not dropping or abusing them over the years and now.
Within a month of purchasing the Rowenta the leaking of this Professional model brought me to exchange the iron for its replacement of the same professional model.
Now, after...
review »my old iron was not very expensive and after using it for various craft projects, it was pretty much 'used up'. i had heard of Rowenta and thought i would like to have one. my brother gave me a rowenta professional iron a few years ago, and i love it! i wanted an iron with a slick bottom (not teflon) because i knew that if i used it to fuse fabric, it would end up with 'sticky' on the sole plate and it would have to be cleaned. i was afraid i would scratch the newer finishes; this one is perfect for me! it has steam and a steamer ability, which is wonderful. i think this iron has a...
review »I have a Rowenta Steam Iron and I love it.
It glides so easy over any material and the steam it produces will take out the worst of wrinkles, I highly endorse this product.
I have had other irons and they either clog up or just don't do the job, I would never go back to anything else.

I like my Rowentta iron. I have used Black and Decker irons all my life. I really enjoy ironing since I believe in ironing everything. In 36 years of marriage. I have probably had six irons at least. I had always wanted a rowentta iron but just could not bring myself to pay the price. Well my last iron did not last by a few years. It was not very good and it sure did not iron the clothes very well. I looked at Rowentta irons and started reading reviews about them. I decided on the model DZ9080. The reviews said once I got use to the weight I would love it. I love it, my ironing...
review »I iron all of my clothes and my husbands so I spend a lot of time ironing. I used to buy the cheapest iron I could find and would have to end up replacing it within 6 months. I read some reviews on the Rowenta irons and decided I would buy one. When I bought one I wanted to get a good one so I bought the Rowenta Professional. That was 5 years ago and I'm still using the same iron! Usually I would use starch on a lot of my shirts, but with the Rowenta I've reduced the need for starch by at least 50% because of the awesome steam it puts out. I can get the nicest crease in my husbands work slacks...
review »i really dont like ironing cause it takes a long time and after a while it begins to hurt my back. with rowenta professional irons its great cause it irons faster and more efficiently. i wouldnt use any other iron, it would be like watching tv in a black and white tv with no sound.
The Rowenta Professional iron has been a wonderful appliance. It heats quickly and the powerful steam burst works incredibly well after 4 years in my possession. I do a lot of ironing weekly and truly enjoy the task because my Rownta makes it easy.
I love the auto shut off if I have forgtten to unplug. The auto clean feature removes deposits from the iron. I also like the power steam function for steaming clothes.
It is a must have in any home.
I have bought two Rowenta irons and both have failed within a year of normal use. After a few months or about 200 uses these irons will simply stop working one day. My guess is that the power cord inside the iron failed. These irons still look brand new. Do not be fooled by any positive reviews of this item because I am sure they haven't owned one for more than 6 months. DO NOT BUY A ROWENTA IRON.
